Dude... People will pay $700 for The Rocks wristband... Is it worth that? No, he probably had them made for about 5 bucks. That isn't the point. The point is that you said you would pay a certain amount, and then you decided to lower the prices just because you didn't feel they were good enough? That's just shady, is all I'm saying. Don't expect much more of a life here on the boards; nobody is going to trust you.

I have to go with him. Plus i personaly found his work very nice...not as cheap as you rated it. However i'm for clear and agreeded from both sides rules. Changing them after the beginning of the projects is at least not serious. I think u'll have to face some popularity problems from now on. Not that i think u'r a bad guy or something...i simply think u made a bit of a mess here :) Good luck fixing it

read all the posts it clearly says that i will be lowering the prices...

You posted this:

and yeah i guess if its not to my expectations then i probably will lower the prize money.

13 days in the contest on page 9 after mostly everyone had posted their try. If this had been in the first post along the lines of:

If I don't like the entries I won't even pay 1/10 of the prize money.

But you didn't you posted something after the contest had pretty much ended. I would be pissed off if I got 250K from a 3000K prize, basically you scammed people out of 4,550,000 gp.

AND i said NO FONTS so i should have disqualified Keiphus and Entangle.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I didn't use any fonts in that sig, I don't know what gave you that idea.

Hey, can you check my new version on page 9 or 10? I made it look more like graffiti... maybe if you disqualify the font-users, I'll take a place?

K positions are....

1. Cool Banana (Reduced prize money for 1st place to 250k)

2. Keiphus (Reduced 2nd place prize money to 150k)

3. Entangle (Reduced 3rd place money to 50k)

hey matt wats ur f ing problem, if the people that won have an issue then they can pm me.

You lowered the prices too much... If you only lowered them a bit (Say 500k) then you wouldnt be having this problem, But dude, Lowering like 2-3 mil, that's just noobish

Check out my blog here!

Thanks Jopie211 for the sig

I'm along with TJ and KngKyle. I see both sides.

Those sigs are not worth 3-5 Million GP. However, I'm not saying they're bad either, just saying not worth that much money. BUT that does't mean you can go back on your price like that. You can't say the winner gets 3-5 million gold, and then at the last minute, change it to 0.5 million gold... That's slack.

Reasons:

1) The winners would have worked so hard, because of the 'once-high' price. I'm sure if the price was 500k for the winner, they wouldn't have been so desperate, editing every mistake. However, you gave them false hope. The effort put into the sigs, was the effort put into a 3-5 million gp contest, not a 500k contest. That's why I think it's slack to the sig-makers.

2) Now, you're just gonna have a really bad popularity problem  Every contest you create, every entry you insert, people are gonna be like saying that you're a scammer, etc... You've ruined your rep mate, and it's gonna take a while to get back

3) You list one of your reasons for not paying much, as "They used fonts", when you were completely wrong. If you don't have the ability to tell a font from a non-font, then why add in the stipulation, that you have no control over?

4) You can't really blame mattdonk. He's right ya know. You may think of the word 'scam' as item-scamming at the last minute in trades, ripping sigs, etc... But what you've done is just as bad. I along with many others, also think this is serious enough for a mod.

5) Lol, only just realised the topic said "Closed", so I'll leave now! :P

i know this is meant to be closed but i need to enjoy this wonderful moment
