I don't have the willpower to focus on just prayer but every once and awhile I run out to wildy bonespawn and hangout there with monk robes,

 

 

 

It always ends very oddly... With either a pk for me or my laughing in lumby as a pker picks up 20 or so bones :lol:

 

 

 

edit: oh yea I agree with you, small bones are the way to go unless you feel like killing giants then of course your going to bury the bones.

 

And that one guy is right, if you really wanted bones without spending the money go find a group of chickens #-o why didn't I realize that one...

another couple factors to think about:

 

 

 

When your getting big bones from creatures, your also gaining combat experiance that saves you time on your other stats.

 

 

 

When your killing chickens, your just getting bones.

 

 

 

Almost always, its best to just do things yourself. If your looking at a Zezima scenario.... where your goal is 99 in everything.... then the best way is probably to not buy anything, unless it speeds up you making money.

 

 

 

really, if your going to be "super efficient" in your runescape time, you shouldnt buy bones until your combat is full. Because if you get 99 prayer.... you are wasting all the bones you find on the ground that you could just pick up and bury quickly.

Really :-k I could've sworn you get the 4exp*3damage on the chicken for focused training... 12exp for 1/2 a second of "work" doesn't seem half bad when you're really just focusing on prayer...

I'm gonna thank you for telling us about the bones coz now to get 45 prayer im gonna buy the small bones instead of waste money on big bones! Coz im prepared to do a little extra work.

Indeed, you make great points here. But you do get 12xp for killing a chicken... might not seem much, but you can get about the same XP from many chickens in the same time as a hill giant. Plus, feathers! We love feathers. And you don't need food for chickens, whereas you might for hill giants.

 

 

 

And I actually don't buy bones myself. This was pretty much a theory on it... it was meant to cause sort of a debate. Looks like it worked, partly. Makes me happy. \

People harvest more big bones than reg bones you rarely see anyone buying reg bones or selling them.

 

 

 

so they aren't really on the market at all. So people aren't going to buy something that takes a while to find.

 

 

 

Time is money is true because it takes time to find the reg bones in the first place and its 3x slower than b bones so people naturally pay more for b bones

Unfortunately, regular bones are a lot harder to find sellers, and buying tens of thousands of bones will get extremely boring. IMO parayer isnt worth the money spent training it on f2p.

Yeah, so it seems like the only real problem is that regular bone sellers are so much harder to find. I have seen them quite frequently though... but not as much as big bone sellers, I guess.

In the time it takes you to click 4 times the more bones, you could be doing something else... like making money to compensate for the cost of the big bone or lvling up something.

Yeah, me too... me being poor is what actually fueled this research and topic. Who knew being poor could be useful, aye? Aye.
