The terrorists won.

So true. Terrorisms main objective is to create fear and let it affect our way of life. With the way the Government and Media has reacted they have achieved that goal. They wanted to destroy our way of life and our society and it looks as if they are achieving it.

And in that way, the terrorists are the best thing that ever happened politically for Bush. He's been able to manipulate the whole country and even the world and shape things all because humans are so insecure when it comes to the issue of fear.

He takes terrorism, tries as much to scare Americans as possible - who in general are willing to give up liberty permanently for temporary security - and uses the tool of fear to keep gaining control over whatever he possibly can. Fear is a politician's best friend. And terrorism is his vehicle he uses to put the world into fear, allowing him to do these ridiculous things.

Because people are so indifferent to everything besides not being the target of the next 9/11, they don't care what it takes to prevent them from being attacked by the big scary terrorists that are looming and are going to pop out of nowhere and attack us everywhere. It's irrationality that's allowed Bush to get as far as he has. Americans have a weakness. It's that we believe this president. As Olbermann said, I'd love to see if you still believe him if for some reason feds lock you up, claiming you never were a citizen - in which case you can't have a trial over whether or not you are. Oh well. It's ok. He has to do it to keep us safe.

what do you expect, bush isnt the smart guy

im sure there was somthing in there for him

Whether you like Clinton or not, the way the media jumped on this just because some poor excuse for a journalist tried to 'Fox' him is dispicable.

Did you watch the interview? Wallace did nothing to deserve that kind of attack.

Also, do you know who [bleep] Morris is? Morris was Clinton's campaign manager from day one for 30 years. He said these kinds of explosions from Clinton were routine behind the scenes. In fact, there's a book (either out there now or being written) by another man who worked for Clinton about the different types of anger-driven explosions he had. They were so routine that Morris didn't even raise an eyebrow when he saw the interview.

I'm not going to try and say FOX isn't a more conservative news program, but Clinton acted like a fool and Mike Wallace, of all people - is not someone who should have been attacked like that.

Ironically CNN (liberal news station) is constantly trying to make it look like America is on the brink of destruction to discredit Bush and get him out of office - but it's probably doing the opposite.

On 17th of October 2006, 135 years to the day after the last American President suspended habeus corpus, President Bush signed into law the Military Commissions Act of 2006. At it's worst, the legislation allows President Bush or Donald Rumsfeld to declare anyone -- US citizen or not -- an enemy combatant, lock them up and throw away the key without a chance to prove their innocence in a court of law. In other words, every thing the founding fathers fought the British empire to free themselves of was reversed today with the stroke of a pen.

George Washington University Constitutional Law professor, Jonathan Turley, joins Keith to talk about the law that Senator Feingold said would be seen as "a stain on our nations history."

You can watch the video here.

George W Bush and his administration, I can honestly say, are the major protagonists in the 21st Century age of terrorism.

arnt you uk-nian?

This is beginning to get scary. I wouldn't be scared if Bush decided to install dictatorships all over Latin America once again, based on the premise that countries like Venezuela and Bolivia are the personification of the evil.

That's a dictatorial measure he took.

well, I'm not complaining - as long as this bill (or act, whatever) does good, i don't care. The last time i remember habeus corpus being suspended was to stop the KKK post-civil war. I don't think anyone cared, and i don't think anyone will care if a terrorist gets locked up.

I don't think any president has the balls (or the support) to misuse these powers, especially with the media blowing everything out of proportion

I don't think anyone cared, and i don't think anyone will care if a terrorist gets locked up.

As long as it isn't your older brother who's taken as a terrorist.

Well than he shouldn't be a terrorist! Duh...
