Some people say that rusty swords can be repaired, and that you can get up to mithril (I use a whetstone, right?). Also, some say that damaged armor can be repaired and may yield up to rune.

 

 

 

Is that true?

I know you can fix them in houses, but i have never done it, so i dont know what it gives you, i dont think it gives you rune.

I've fixed a bunch of them in my house, and gotten up to mithril. I have spoken to friends (with much higher level smithing than me) who also only have gotten up to mithril. So I dont believe you can get any higher.

 

 

 

Best source for the damaged armour is definitly thieving HAM members. Personally I dont think the rusty swords are worth the effort, so when I go there (basically when I am in the mood to do level 1 clues), I just keep the damaged armour.

 

 

 

For the swords a whetstone is enough, to repair damaged armour you need a armour stand (level 55 construction)

the guy at the end of the docks in Port Khazard fixes items. Also you can use a PoH with an equiped workshop to fix em.

but i went to him and he wud only do the rusty swords!

Then armor can only be done in a POH.
