Why do you like this sport(s)?

How good are you? Have you ever won any competitions?

Who do you play with and where?

For me, badminton and cycling.

I like badminton because the racquet is very light, and the 'thud' and 'whooosh!' sounds when the shuttlecock hits the head are unbelieveably satisfying. I also like being in control, and such a sense of power is just fantastic.

I like cycling because it's firstly a good way of getting around, secondly it's very sociable and thirdly because cycling makes me feel free. For instance if I'm in a bad mood or anything I'll just go out cycling for a few hours and come back feeling better than ever.

I'm v. good at cycling (sorry to boast lol) planning on the London-Brighton as soon as I'm fourteen. This May it'll be my fourth go at the London Bridges.

Badminton...I'm not very good but hoping to get better!

I play badminton at the local leisure centre with my dad. I cycle everwhere on my own or with friends.

So how about you?

Wow issy, I love both of these as well!! My most favourite sport in the world is badminton, I played for my county in under 18s, but now i just play for my university. It's an excellent workout and so much fun :P. I've won a few inter-county tournaments with my doubles partner, and as part of my county team have won a few tournaments. The only one I remember is some competition up in Yorkshire I believe was called ICT. No idea what that stands for, and nah it ain't information communications technology lol.

Also as I don't drive, my bike is my best friend. I cycle everywhere, to lectures, work, asda lol. I haven't done anything competitive though or any long distance thing

Track, cause it's fun and relaxing to run. I like sprinting, middle distance and long jump. And bowling cause i'm pretty good, and i like chucking bowling balls.

Tennis by far is my personal favorite.

I like it because it's an individual sport. If you win, you know you're better than your opponent (or you got lucky, but I don't think about that part ::' ), if you lose, then there's no one you place the blame on but yourself and it gives you a drive to get better. Plus, it's oddly satisfying when you hit an exceptionally good spot. An ace down the line, a slice out wide, a well angled/down-the-line forehand/backhand, or my personal favorite, the dropper. (Though again, most of my good shots are purely unintentional) It also relieves stress and helps me forget about my daily worries. :)

I would say I'm fairly good. Not anyone you'd hear about in other schools, but I'm okay. I've got a massive forehand that my coach showed me and me only. (He was once ranked in the top 100 in the world. Unfortunately he sprained his shoulder muscle so he had to rely on coaching for a living. :( ) Competition-wise, I play poorly. My nerves get to me and I end up pushing. I always practice playing offensively with some decend defense, so whenever I start pushing I do bad. :wall:
