October 28, 200619 yr Yes, you can use pure ess for runecrafting on nonmemeber a bad way because they are a higher price. If your going to runecraft on nonmemebers you should better use regular rune ess which is cheaper than pure ess.

October 31, 200619 yr wads the diff between pure ess and norm ess? The requirements to get them and what they're used to make are different. Pure essence can only be mined if you have 30+ mining and are members, otherwise you will get normal essence. Pure essence can be used to craft any kind of rune (including combination runes), while normal essence can only be used to craft mind, body, air, water, earth and fire runes (the F2P craftable runes). This also causes a difference in price. Pure - 90-110 each Norm - 10-30 each
October 31, 200619 yr i remember seeing some guy trading 4 norm ess for 1 pure in f2p.... so i did it since i cant craft any of the runes that NEED pure... but i got 400 ess out of my 100 :P

No, it's your math that's not that good. 140x110 = 15,400 gp, which would buy him 770 rune ess at 20 each. meaning he'll wind up with 770 rune ess for his original 2,000 gp, or less than 3gp per ess. A very good deal.
