issy2
Hiya, Earlier today I tried downloading a font from dafont.com. I clicked download, etc... then it came up with a lil' box in the corner saying 'All files have finished downloading' Can anyone tell me how to actually get it into MS Word, under 'Fonts' so I can type in that font. If it's relevant, I use Firefox, Windows xp pc and am trying to open the font in Microsoft Word. If possible could someone go through it step by step as I know pretty much nothing about computers... Thanks sooo much. Issy.
Mercifull
Copy + Paste it in the C:/Windows/Fonts folder and away you go... There is a FAQ quide on Dafont which explains in detail if you still cant work it out. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. cadburys_egg
Also, some computers don't allow you to copy and paste direct from the zip file. An alternative is to paste a copy somewhere (My Documents, for example) and go to Control Panel -> Fonts and choose Install Font... You need Admin rights. issy2
I don't get it. Still, thanks alot. I'll use the guide on Dafont, thanks, Mercifull.
Aznhuskarl
One more thing: Don't try to copy and move your fonts outside the "FONTS" folder. You will lose the font and you won't be able to use it for your typing programs. Stick the right files in that folder once you downloaded or transfered the right font. -=Aznhuskarl=- Cleric-=20Cent=- JuggernaughtMore to come... Earpy
The quickest and easiest way to install fonts: 1) Click start, then on run and type in Fonts. Press Enter. 2) Take your font and place it in the folder which appeared. It will install and you will now be free to use it. Note: When you move your font, you use make sure that the font is not in a zipped folder of anysort. It must be the pure file. If you need any more support, let me know and I will be happy to help. Kinslayer777
Dont forget you shouldn't go font crazy :) that's way too easy, but it slows down word considerably every time you load it up. It might not bother you, and possibly your computer is fast enough anyhow, but for instance on my old computer the mass of fonts i had incredibly and ridiculously slowed down my word boot.
