cowmasta13
What wave should I start drinking range pots? I DL'ed all of the videos, but I can't watch them all straight w/o going insane. Should I start drinking at the 360's? That seems logical... Currently on wave #28 using MSB + steel arrows + salmon. I'm using this as a training run so I can get used to using Italy to block monsters and using monsters to block monsters. Slowly getting the hang of it. I'm quite pleased with myself. First Trial Run: Used all my regular gear, but I switched Crystal Bows for MSB with steel arrows. Used no pots, only salmon for food. I was quite surprised at how far I got (wave 29). 180-90-90. I got one ranger down and the 180 almost dead, but I couldn't move out of my safespot to kill the ranger because the 180 hits 20+. So eventually I got killed by the ranger :(
lonemaster2
Cool cowmasta.... I got to jad..I was so tired.... took me 2 1/2 hours to get to him... I had like 4 restores and like 2 doses of sara brew and 3 doses of range. My bow was at 7/10 =p I hid for a while in teh safe zone muggi mentions. Then I went searching. Found him, and he hit 55 on me... I had range prayer on and he maged me... so I switch, and then he ranges ftw.....i hit like a 2 on him =/ I wish I was rich...cursed cyrstal bow charges drain me of my money.... Bananamatic
Gonna try again when i get members. Tried 4 times, lag death at later waves once, twice got to healers, once killed em off. If i don't lag,my prayer switch is kinda good, maybe even near perfect=p Should i just try again with 82 ranged,or get higher range? As i see that Jad has little defence, and i usually get him to half in lil over a minute or so. Does the speed of getting to Jad depend on skills,or ranged level more? walka92
Drink range pots whenever your range lvl has reverted to its normal level, 3 range pots will last you the entire minigame does it really last all the game? seems a lil long.. I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

Assuming you're 70 range, each dose lasts like 10 minutes. 12 doses = 120 minutes = 2 hours (assuming you don't waste any range pots from drinking sara brews at a bad time)

Bananamatic
My first Jad fight was like this....i waited in the southwest corner like when you see jad behind italy...thought it was safespot... then i was like wtf is that yellow dot BEHIND ME...boom 66,managed to get all the way to healers though =X I trained switching prayers with vids,i usually manage to switch all of them right....but when it is the real thing i get all nervous and my computer stops cooperating,it always gets all laggy=( and then i die, lol. Any hints on how can i lag less? I doubt that i could even get to 360s now with this connection=p
ThoseTheBrokes
I'm using X-box because I can't afford to recharge crystal bows :XD: If I fail this attempt [My first] I'll sell my fury and buy 2 crystal bows, more pots and maybe an archer ring if I can afford. Bananamatic
I'm using X-box because I can't afford to recharge crystal bows :XD: I would prefer a Wii=D Btw,the moment i read the xbox comment,i got an obby shield drop xD Get the 180k charges at blue drags, definitely worth it. Then you get a very good bow for cw and other minigames cheap. And,get 1 more extra brew if that if your first run imo. Make the extra space a brew, not a restore. I was out of brews when i had 6 on my first run....went better with 7.

Bananamatic
NO!=p Keep 3 range pots, sacrifice the extra super restore for extra brews. I did my first attempt at 79 ranged,52 pray,73 def. You have 75 range,60 pray,75 def. So you restore 2 p points more per dose than i did back then-Shouldn't hurt you sacrificing two sup restores. Muggi correct me if you think otherwise=d

lonemaster2
=P I got to jad today...took me 3 hours -.- and he owned me again....I got so nerveous... He spawned in the middle :ohnoes: He ranges first, and scares the crap outa me, so I run up to attack, and he switched so i switched, and switched back he hit a 74 =[].....then he hit a 2 ftw -.- I need to get abetter at this... Bananamatic
Me too=D Jad has usually 6 allies with him-4 healers, lag, and your nervousness. You overcome it=orange carpet on your back. Dang, you beat my lowest hit by Jad. It was 5 i think=p Did anyone get hit by a 99+ or a 1? The highest i saw was a 95 on Muggi=p really showed that sara brew can save your rear end. ThoseTheBrokes
Do the healers hit hard? and they are melee aren't they? My dA account..retired, as of the 1st January 2008.
Bananamatic
Well...on my last run i didnt get hit ONCE before healers, then healers got me down to 51 hp,tried to cover behind italy, switched in time when running, when you run the switch is kinda slower than usual,51,cya. The morale of the story-Dont switch prayers running. The healers are melee and usually tear me up...
ThoseTheBrokes
Just practising now, Don't have enough time to do the final thing at the moment. Using Black d hide, MSB and such. I've found I don't actually need to prayer on the 90's much, They don't seem to hit at all, The occasional 4's and 6's, But on my final I'd be wearing barrows armour, So that'd be minimised. Has anyone else found this? My dA account..retired, as of the 1st January 2008.
Bananamatic
Lucky you. They hit 13s too though,so better pray than not. Every brew dose counts.
