Addy mining spot?

Hello guys! I just joined this forum but I've been using this website for ages reading guides and stuff. You guys are really great! :thumbsup:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And I just got a job in RS, I need to mine 1600 addy ores and my boss is giving me 900 gp each. Is it a good price and where is the best F2P area to mine addy ores?

I suggest you mine at crandor island then teleport/run to a bank and go back. This is the best way i know in F2P. But 1600 addy will take you ages! o.O

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also the price is 900-1000, if you go on official forums im sure you can sell for 1000 each

Prices for addy vary, but 900 is definitely near the higher end of the scale.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you've got a permanent buyer lined up, and you don't have to worry about roaming the boards to sell, I think it's a fair deal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The best F2P spot I know of is the Hobgoblin Mines in level 32 Wilderness. There are 8 addy rocks out there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bring a rune pick, platebody and legs. That's it. If you get PKed, all you lose is the addy ores.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Losing 28 Addy ores would stink, but you need something to protect against the Hobgoblins until they get bored of you (ie, they stop attacking after you've been there a while).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Plus, if you're waiting for the Addy to respawn you can train on the iron and coal ores in the mine as you wait.

Sometimes (not often) their are other people mining Addy their.

 

 

 

But if someone is mining, it's mostly power-mining.

 

 

 

And pkers barelly attack, bacause you don't have goodies.

You are now familiar with the concept of "three-iteming" it in the Wildy. When you die, anywhere, you keep your three most expensive items. Unless you attacked someone first, and have been skulled. Then you lose all when you die.

Most folks do, myself included.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The only PKers who will bother you are the misanthropes who will want to kill you just for the heck of it. They know wildy miners won't have anything of real value (they're certainly not going to carry ore around), so those that do attack you are usually just the anti-social types who just want to kill you so they can tell you that they "owned" you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you get attacked, try to high tail it out. You might make it out, you might not. It's no biggie if you're three-iteming it out there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

EDIT: if you do get attacked, about 1/2 way back on the run to Edgeville start randomly dropping your ores. This way, they will stay invisible to all other players for about 1 minute. That way, if the PKer kills you, and you've dropped all your ores, he'll get nothing when you die.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That is, unless he decides to stick around and wait for your dropped items to appear a minute later.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There's also a slight chance that, if you can get to bank in Lumby, tele to Barbarian village or Varrock, you can race back in time to pick up those late dropped ores. Not likely, but possible.

I suggest the moved location for the Addy rocks in the SW Lumbridge swamp.

 

 

 

It's safe and it's now closer to the Draynor bank then it was before.

 

 

 

After you get the ore, world hop and mine some more until full.

I think all these places have been said already, but here they are again in a little detail

 

 

 

Dwarven mines(my fave)-It has 3 addy ores, but you would have fierce competition compared to other places. When you are waiting for addy to respawn, just mine mith or gold rocks. Maybe iron if u want some exp. And of course, you could kill time chatting, theres always people there. The bank is pretty close if cut through the mining guild entrance, and u can make it back before the addy respawns.

 

 

 

al-Kharid mine- This place has 2 addy rocks, but probably has the least competition of the nonwildy spots because of the other rocks that are worth mining. When waiting for addy to respwan i like to powermine the irons (3 sitting around 1 spot) that are close by. U cud also mine silver mith or gold. However the bank isnt very near (not too far either).

 

 

 

Lumby swamps- Very, very boring...But it has 2 addy rocks, some coal and like 7 mith rock(i think). The nearest bank is draynor. I dont recommend this place for addy unless u wud also mine the mith or coal.

 

 

 

Edgeville mine- This is near the hill giants, if ur not familiar where this is. Theres 2 addy rocks, 3 silver, like 1of mith, coal and iron too. This place doesnt have much competition for addy, but there isnt enough rocks worth mining other than the addy and silver. Of course, you could kill hillies when u get bored. Closest bank is varrok east(with brass key) or edgeville bank if u want to save an inventory spot.

 

 

 

Crandor isle- This place has 3 addy rocks, and is perfect for superheating the rocks (theres a huge number of coal and mith nearby).Thing is, 1 of the addy rocks is unreachable because there is not enough spacet to reach it, so you have to walk all the way around the island to that rock, then back again to mine the other two. Of course, world hopping helps, and once ur full u can use the lumbridge home tele to use that bank (or fally tele). But still, i wud not recommend this place because it just exhausts you.

 

 

 

Hobgoblin mines- This place is like in lvl 40 wildy, so be careful! I prefer to take a rune pic, pl8, and legs with me. If ur in an uncrowded world, there is a 90% chance u wont meet a pker(at most another miner).Usually u can survive a pker attack by turning on protect prayer, running to less than lv20 wildy, then teleporting(wont work on a team tho). The only other annoying thing is that the hobgoblins constantly attack you. So if you can survive long enough, they will eventually get off ur tail. This place is the fastest because the sheer number of addy rocks (8 of em). Nearest bank is varrok east.

I'd have to say hands down the hob mine in the wild with 8 rocks is the best way to go. By the time you finish mining the 8th rock, the first one will have regenerated already. I do have to say though, you can get 1k each for that much addy since it is considered bulk. IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d say try and get a higher buyer if possible, if not, thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s okay.

For me personally, i go and kill moss giants while waiting for the addy ores to respawn, and then use the home teleport to bank.
