Futurama Posted November 19, 2006 Share Posted November 19, 2006 okay, ive had no sound on my computer for a long time due to a format and apparently the problem lies within - according to everyone with a soundblaster ive asked, i have to take the card out and put it back in. stupid i know... i cant figure out how to get my computer open to take the card out. all that's on the back is a large screw, screws around the fans and 2 more in the middle right area, and the rest are rivets which can't be undone. anyone got any idea how to open my computer up? :/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's a wierd layout, the "Terminator" small case, perhaps. - yes it is, and that shoul be a knurled bolt, the only one holding the case shell on. Undo and the try to slide the shell backwards, them lift off. Correction: http://www.digit-life.com/articles/asus ... index.html Slide forward, the location of the plastic clamp to release is not made clear. Unless something actually happened to the sound card, it sounds like it might just need a driver, if it was lost in a reformat.
