heymrdj
Me and my bro want to upgrade the "lethality" of our characters. We have been first time members for two months now and still have a lot to learn about what is available ect. Let me list off what our characters have, and then I would like you guys to give us some recommendations. Heymrdj: L-70 full rune set with rune kite shield rune 2h rune baxe dragon dagger (p++) dragon long sword My major strength is defence and mage, I fight Block style the most, and use my dragon long sword the most, 14's normal, 17's with spec. The_Coolness: L-76 full rune set with rune kite shield rune 2h rune baxe dragon dagger (p++) dragon long sword dragon baxe (waiting on herblore to wield) Major strength is strength, Aggressive or attack fighting style, Dragon long sword as main weapon, 17's normal, 20's with spec. We want a mainline slash weapon for unarmored foes and a mainline crush weapon for castle wars and armored foes such as guards, nights, and metal dragons. We will keep the daggers as our poisoned weapons. I am thinking on abby whip and Dragon 2h sword. Bro is thinking just the abby whip and keeping the drag baxe as crush because you can use it with a shield. Bro says the abby whip is so powerful on slash, its crush doesn't matter. I on the other hand say the whip is no good, because having faced many lvl-90's with abby whips on castle wars, and seeing the sulky repetitive 0's against my full rune, and me only being lvl 70, I believe a crush is needed. What do you guys think? We got 1.3mil to spend so far, and should have 2.1mil by the end of this month. Lunar Mage at 65 mage, 71 combat. Proud to be a Lunar. Gin_and_Tonic
I'd use D2h a cwars - The spec is sick, and its great to swap for a high, hard ko'. As you personally like to use defence, Abby whip is still a good weapon to train with (non armoured foes) for defence, but i'd still suggest a D scimi, d2h and D b axe as its much cheaper and all around a good trio of weapons. For your brother, he ought to get a whip and Ddp.
heymrdj
Sounds good :). I like how you mentioned whip was good for training. That was just the kind of advice I needed. My brother was curious at what you meant by Ddp? As I said, we are gonna keep our Ddp++ as out poisoned weps. I was curious about the scimitar. A guy attacked me on cwars with one yesterday, and did a 9 on me max, and he was level 89. Seems like a pretty week armor against armor. Can anyone tell me the requirements of the weapons? Does an abyssal whip require slayer level to wield? And is its attack level actually 70? (we are both only 61 attack :wall: ) Any quest requirements? Same goes for the D2h. Anything required? Is its attack level still 60? Lunar Mage at 65 mage, 71 combat. Proud to be a Lunar.
FastForce
You need 70 attack to weild a whip, that is the only requirement. For D 2h you need 60 attack. Whip can't train strength without share training attack and defence at the same time. I would use D long/D scimmy for strength training, and to train to 70 attack if you want to get a whip. DDP++/D Battleaxe for specials. Road To Trimmed Completionist

As I said I need advice on the best slashing and best crushing weapons. Lunar Mage at 65 mage, 71 combat. Proud to be a Lunar.

I suppose if you really want to hit hard, go for full dharoks or full veracs. But you aren't going to find many more weapons better than dragon ones. Most level 100s still use dragon scimitar to train strength, and abbysal whip for other stats.
Firebird75
Barrows do sap money repairing them and buying them, so I keep all my combat skills around the same and still have pretty good offense and defense with d-baxe and full rune. heymrdj
Barrows do sap money repairing them and buying them, so I keep all my combat skills around the same and still have pretty good offense and defense with d-baxe and full rune. I don't want barrows because of the repairs. I do not want something I pay over and over for to train with. We have decided on two D2h swords for 2.8 mil, to train with to lvl 70 attack. By then we should have the other 3.6 mil we need to buy two abby whips to go with it. We will sell our Dlongs most likely, and go with Dbaxes, but we may decide to keep longs so we have shielded slash weapons. Now just to get the 1.2mil we still need for the 2.8 mil. \ So far we have a mith plate job that once finished should leave us at 2.3 mil. We'll have to do something else to get the rest.
