Buying Credits

What if Jagex developed a system where you could buy credits.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1 credit = 1 month of membership.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then, there would be a system set up to let you deliever those credits to anyone you wish.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"Welcome Back Defender, you have 6 available credits"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then you would have a few options.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. You may use 1 credit to extend your Runescape Membership for 30 days.

 

 

 

2. You may use this credit to extend a friends membership for 30 days.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You select option number 2.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"Please type in your friends User Name."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To make sure its your Friend and hope that you didn't miss a charater and give the membership to someone else, it will give you the following error.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"(Players Name) is not on your friends list. You must first add him to your friends list in order to give him membership credit"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With that in place, there is no way you could accidently give credit to someone else and ask for a refund.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So what do you guys think? If Jagex put this in, would you use it? Would you buy your friends membership?

This places the risk of theft should your account be hacked. If you are hacked, your hacker can simply add themselves to your list, then go and transfer all credits to himself. That would set him up for theft, and could quite possibly cause the first legal battle with regards to Runescape.

not to mention it could result in the purchesing of membership in exchange for runescape coins or items. such a thing is clearly against the rules for many ressons. if you want to pay your frends membership let him give you his addres and send him 5$. provided of course you new him that well which I advise anyone to keep there name and address a secret while online.

Lol.. If this happened people would start trading RS Cash and Rl Cash for membership really really really really fast. Also imagine if you got hacked? A hacker can't be stopped by a single pin. This is just plain nuts. :evil: :twisted:

i disagree, there's no money in jagex if that's the case, maybe a free month after like 6 months...or something, but extending a friend's membership? no...they have to do that on their own.

you still have to pay the 5$ for a credit (or whatever way you use to pay), so they still get payed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i like the idea. The thing about being hacked.....its quite easy not to be hacked if you have a good pass, don't tell ANYONE your pass, and keep your computer updated, thats all you have to do, if you can't keep it in good matience, then you deserve to be hacked.

that would be a lot of trouble to mess with.....and if your friend lived in a different country that you wanted to pay for....you could end up spending 50$ in mailing that 5$.....
