November 24, 200619 yr I am going to staples in 25 minuets to get a maxtor 200gb hardrive for 19.99 :D and the interface is ATA/133 My current hardrives are the IdE Interface. The cables look the same but i was wondering if the hardrive will work on my comp without buying a pci card. 99 smithing rsc

November 24, 200619 yr if its ATA and not SATA it should work just fine, trust me you'll notice the difference between the ports on an ATA and SATA drive.

November 27, 200619 yr IDE and ATA/133 are the same thing. IDE is the general interface name while ATA/133 denotes the speed. Short answer: Yes it'll work. :mrgreen:
