Well it looks like we better get the prices of yew longs in the GE to a price we want them at before this update so we will still be able to trade them and continue alching.

Well since I am 99 smithing and a rune miner I would like to give my views on this whole situation. With the update from the GE, rune prices dropped rapidly. There is no way to sell a rune item for and other price except the bare minimum. I have been watching the prices fall day after day. My biggest fear is that the prices are going to stop at the alching price. Which is what is going to happen since there is way to much supply of rune items now since everyone can clean their bank out easily. I have recently attempted to rune mine just to see if I could turn myself a profit by mining and smithing and alching legs. Which isn't bad money since I dont have to do any selling and can alch for 38k each. I took my pickaxe out of the bank for the first time in months and loaded up on sharks and armour. Went to the teleport lever in Ardy and found myself in a world of pain. Waiting for me at the lever was a bunch of those ghosts which I quickly turned on protect prayer, and what did I get. He started usuing another form of attack. I ran from them through the member gate and encountered another group of ghosts at the rocks. To make it plain and simple, I used an entire load of sharks just to walk to the rune rocks, didnt even get to mine a ore. I am 109 combat so I was thinking these new npcs wouldnt do much to me. I was suprised. The way it stands now, there is no way to effectively mine rune at the rune rocks in the wilderness. The only other option is the hero guild. I spent 2 hours the other night there and didnt even get a full load. With all this said, the days of making 1.5m off a r2h are long overdue. The skill is dead, which was predictable. I remember days when I would make 1500 kites and r2hs a day. So the supply of items has slowly ruined the demand for rune. There is no way to save smithing unless they redesign the way it works. IE: repairing armour for players. Which that is highly unlikely since there is the assist skill thing. (I will never assist anyone, since they did nothing to earn what I worked for) I dont understand what all Jagex has done to the skill that made the game what it is. Something has to be done. I am waiting every day for something to happen. As of now, I will not use my hammer or pick axe anymore, I am better off ranging greaters for clues to make cash.

Not much else other than p hat. I would reccomend sellign and having cash to do things, then buy back later on. 8/10

Well, I can say that I have devoted about 3k bloods this weekend to trying and pushing the autoers away. Was quite fun actually :) I do hope Jagex has done something about this, because it is really hurting the hide economy. Hopefully we will see a post on the official page about a massive banning this week.

I get more respect with my smithing cape than I ever can with a blue party hat. Plus I can train with the cape and it actually benefits me. IMO I think bunny ears and smith cape is the best items to wear. Party hats are just to played out.

I finally sold my whip and bought dharoks. I get 25k more xp per hour with dharoks than with a whip. I train at ankous btw, 65k a hour. Plus I make tons of money from runes. I will never own a whip again.

Smithing IMO is the hardest. Most people argue though that it can be bought. Funny thing is, almost all the people that go for 99 are dirt poor LOL. Most people that are uber rich don't have a desire to go for 99, which I have found quite odd. On the side note, I find fletching and cooking capes a disgrace and something to be frowned on :) GET A REAL 99@@@

I am tired of Jagex trying to play this whole realism thing. IF they want to make stuff real in Runesacpe, they need to have consistency. For example: If I lived in lets say, Iraq, since everyone knows its hot there, if I were to go in the desert, common sense would tell me to drink water. We all agree on that factor, heat kills. Now according to Jagex, if your in a town you don't get hurt from heat. Well I am pretty sure when its 120 degrees in Iraq, mother nature isn't nice and turns on the Air Conditioning for the people in the cities. I personally believe if they want to make hydration a part of runescape, they need to implement it in the entire game, since humans are 80% water. And they might as well make outhouses to go to the bathroom and beds for us to sleep on. OH NO I sense another fatigue system coming!!! All I am saying is that if they want to start messing up lvling by implementing real life fatigue situations, they need to implement every real life fatigue and put it in every aspect of game, instead of one. That is my 2 cents in the matter.

Ive always looked at total xp. That really tells how much they have worked on their character. Any average Joe can go get all his lvls to 60 with minimal effort and have relatively low total xp. The total xp that you have really shows how much blood and sweat you poured into your stats.

Yes. I started doing drugs when I was 13 because it seemed fun. I ended up getting in trouble in school, eventually dropped out because all I wanted to do was stay at home and get high. To make a long story short, I got in trouble for drugs and got put in jail for 14 months. (2 days before I got arrested my main got banned) I have come back to rs, but rl things come before rs now. Im glad to have gotten my head screwed back on straight.

I think jagex needs to give everyone a p hat set so everyone will stop complaining about stuff and be happy

I did that back on rsc for a set of full mith, which costed a whopping 9k. It took me like 2 weeks to get that much money lol

Smithing is mine. Was rank 9 with 16.6m xp in april 2005. Got banned, came back and started a new char with 88 smithing atm. Hoping to hit 99 soon so I can race back up to the top. I cant stand any other skill in the game except smithing :) Dont ask why.

I am going to staples in 25 minuets to get a maxtor 200gb hardrive for 19.99 :D and the interface is ATA/133 My current hardrives are the IdE Interface. The cables look the same but i was wondering if the hardrive will work on my comp without buying a pci card.

Got my first drag drop 2 days ago from irons. Played 5 years and roughly 30m xombat xp combined. It was my 3rd iron drag on my noob :) I couldnt believe it.

Rsc Stats, 22nd to 99 smithing :) Theres my stats again lol, I used to mine addy when I got bored, dont ask me why.... And this addy rock was very special, it was the only one in the dwarven mine, now I think there are like 3. It was mined almost as hard as the rune rocks lol. Bank, sure looks like alot now, but was pretty average minus the dragon items which I got from staking. I had tons more pics but I formatted and lost em, just kept these on floppy for times like this when we reflect on the past. Always good to do that :D -Jncon

Well in world of warcraft when you log out at an inn (which is the same as your house) you get what is called a rest bounus. Which allows you to get up to 200% of the normal xp. They implimented this because they wanted people that HAVE a life to be able to log on for short periods and lvl up just as fast as the NO LIFERS> That would be awesome for runescape :)And it would be the perfect thing for houses, everyone would want one.

I hate runescape quests, I have like 60 quest points, I'll prolly never do legends. If I want to do a quest I'll go play Diablo or Everquest, Runescape just isn't a questing game, its not real enough.
