November 27, 200619 yr I would pick them up just to make the arrows last longer. Think about it. If you picked up just 50 percent of what you shot, then you'd actually be usin' 27k bronze arrows.

November 27, 200619 yr Wouldnt it be faster not picking up? Well you'd have to buy more then you would if you picked them up. As for what you should kill it would depend on your ranging lvl. You don't want to do something to big since then you'd have to leave your safe spot to pick them up while the creature is still trying to attack you. But if you're not going to bother picking them up then I suppose it dosen't matter.

November 27, 200619 yr Depends on what you want - if you just want levels, fast as possible, then power ranging might work. The hobgoblin spot across the water is pretty good for mage/range powertraining. If you want runes (assorted) then find a fairly clear world, and take 1k of arrows, range gear and food to the dark Wizards in the wilderness - so long as no PKers try to spoil your fun (non-multi, so they can't attack while you are in combat with a wizard), you can perforate wizards until your supplies run out, usually they will be non-aggressive long before that. You give away a point or two of max damage compared to better arrows, so tougher targets will inevitably put your arrows up for grabs before the kill, but going for "drop monsters" instead of "XP monsters" is a possibility - Lessers are miserable XP as they are quite tough, but can drop anything from junk/nothing up to a rune med (rarely).

If you don't pick up, you could go from 70 to 72 If you do pick up, then you could go from 70 to 79 ...If power, then where should I range? I always liked the lessers on the top of Crandor Island. They are usually not over hunted and are almost always available. There are safe spots to the North and SE of their wander area. If you cast a Curse on them first, you will "pull" them over to near your safe spot. After you kill one, your arrows will be in the loot pile so it makes picking them up very easy. You can even kill 2 at once if you alternate your arrow shots. Hope this helps
November 27, 200619 yr I'm using Ankou's right now. They are good xp. The drops are much more consistant than Lessers, if you can't seem to get meds. Currently: Skilling
