Malhavok
There is no cheap way to train construction, it is expensive. Using planks is the cheapest, but the slowest. And using the Butler so much will cost more in the long run. Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !
Coffee234
I mean, what is cheaper? Chopping your own oaks, bring them noted to your house, let your butler unnote them and let him bring to sawmill or buy planks and bring them to your house, let the butler unnote them? Malhavok
Chop oaks near sawmill, cut and then bank. Only having your Butler go to bank and get planks. Remember your Butler will do oh so many tasks before he demands payment. Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !
twr_phr33k
IMO, the cheapest (and slowest) way to boost Construction... Tears of Guthix. Got to level 28 or so in 4 games.

tripsis
Here's the way I look at it: Cutting your own planks and planking them yourself IS cheaper than just buying planks. But, the way I see it, it would take less time to just buy your own planks and make back all that extra money than to cut all those logs and plank all those logs. So my advise would be to buy oak planks. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
icecube
If you really want the cheapest way... mine limestone and craft them into bricks to construct stuff in your house. No money required, except for the teleports if you use them.
tripsis
If you really want the cheapest way... mine limestone and craft them into bricks to construct stuff in your house. No money required, except for the teleports if you use them. In my opinion, I would use the same reasoning that I used above. I'd think it'd be quicker (and less painful, lol) to make the necessary money needed for the level and buy the planks. At least if you're a no lifing rcer such as myself  - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
Jock66600
Another way is for the lower lvls about 3-35. Mine clay, make into soft clay, then make and remove the fireplace. Thats how I did it. Slow, very very slow.
