December 1, 200619 yr Photos! :o To me, the best one is number 6. =D> Some CC, Some photos have the wrong focus (number 1,3,5,) and some photos have an oblique horizon, but thats just a personal oppinion on how you like your photos best. Nice photos, what kind of camera do you use? [http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com][Tip.it Moderator from Dec 10, 2006 to 03 Sep, 2008]

December 1, 200619 yr nice photo's! i especialy like number 6 because it has the right angle and the right focus. I agree with woopi that the numbers 1,3 and 5 have the wrong focus. and good to see there are more guys who take photo's exept from woopi and greenslime \ also is it good if i shuffle some around with photo 6? ill pm u the result if so :

December 2, 200619 yr I think 3) is the best. And to Woopidoo, I think the focus was deliberate. Writing in colour was fun while it lasted...The Tip.It. Furry! :D
December 2, 200619 yr Author I think 3) is the best. And to Woopidoo, I think the focus was deliberate. yeah, it was meant as a some kind of semi-macro photo. [Star Wreck][PM me][My gallery][DeviantArt][Cool T-shirts!][iron Sky - Trailer is now out!]
December 2, 200619 yr I think 3) is the best. And to Woopidoo, I think the focus was deliberate. I agree. The other ones, beside from the first which is the second best, arent very interesting. The cliff and sea is nice aperture settings with just the right amount of blurryness on each the close and long spots. So nice picture EDIT: Heres my manip. Everybody lovin' it, but ain't no body touchin' it
December 4, 200619 yr Number 1: Vertical rule of thirds is used - nice composition but I'm not too keen on the focusing in the bottom third, was it possible to get the same composition further back without the lens being so close to the ground. If it wasn't, you could try checking your manual to see if you have a manual mode - if you don't fancy taking dud photos with wrong shutter speeds, try finding the "Apeture Priority" mode which allows you to pick an apeture and the camera will automatically get the right shutter speed to correctly expose the shot. Try taking the shot with the smallest apeture available, perhaps F22 or the largest number after the F. The smaller the apeture is, the more of the shot will be in focus. However the shutter speed will be slower so you might need a tripod depending on the light conditions. Number 2: Quite a busy image. In my opinion, too busy. If ever faced with a busy frame with lots of objects - like the feathers and stray twigs - try to remove them. "When you remove the ugly, you are only left with the beautiful" - I'll get a name for that quote when I find it in one of my photography books. Try going back and trying a macro of one of the yellow flowers on its own - just put the lens fairly close to it and use apeture priority again with an apeture of F2.8 or an F-stop thereabouts. and focus on the flower. Number 3: The slanty horizon doesn't work in this photo (I think). I can see what you were trying to achieve with the soft focus but the composition just doesn't complement it. try again with a straight horizon. I'm gonna be writing less from here on as I'm running out of time. Number 4: Not much to critisise - the gaps between the rocks make great lead in lines and the tight crop works for the subject. Number 5: Not so keen on it as the soft focus (again I understand why you did it but I don't find it pleasing - sorry!) and the blue sea in the top right hand corner distract the eye from the subject which is already masked by the rock. Perhaps moving the camera round to the right would make the plant clearer. It is a nice plant - but let's see more of it. Walk around your subject before turning your camera on and clicking. Number 6: Perfect other than the squint horizon, other than that the composition is superbly balanced. Well done! Number 7: Nice but the tree is at an angle - I would have tried to get it at right angles with the bottom of the frame, but a nice shot none the less - try a tighter crop at the bottom to get rid of the out of focus bit. Overall: A nice collection of snaps there and great potential to improve your photography, you have the basics of composition and you're trying unorthodox techniques, which will sometimes work and sometimes won't. Great photos! Edit: don't know why back slashes are appearing next to the apostrophes - I hope it doesn't make it too hard to read. I'll edit it when I get home. Edit #2: Deleted the slashes - I think I got them all. Photos!
December 6, 200619 yr Come on guys! Keep this post alive for a wee while longer do not let me kill another thread. After previewing post: Christ! I do not know why I keep getting back slashes before my apostrophes but I am going to type with no apostrophes at school as it seems to be happening only there. So I have edited the post to delete the backslashes and so on... Photos!

December 6, 200619 yr #18 is bad, the horizon isn't straight. Make sure he always is when you make a photo. edit:unless at action-photos of course At least, I think that.
December 6, 200619 yr C/C on the New York pics: The action you photographed is nice, you know what you are photographing and thats interesting to photograph. As said before, alot photos have no straight horizon, they all go from high left to low right. Nice pictures, but the real downpart is the horizon. (some cameras have an option to make you help getting a straight horizon, like a horizontal line through your LCD screen. I dont know what camera you use, but if it is there you should try to use it) I really want to go to New York once. [http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com][Tip.it Moderator from Dec 10, 2006 to 03 Sep, 2008]
December 6, 200619 yr Erhm, mind telling me how you got those images that small in size and in kbs? Cause I know they would have had to have been atleast 1MB or more per when you took them. I have a collection of photos I want to make a thread about, but all of them are over 4MBs. And the amount of photos I want to put in the thread would make it take years to load (with the size they are). Anyone care to answer the question? "We'll bring the sexy back to judging >_>." --Nadril Bleh, once I get off my lazy bum and go to Imageshack, there will be a picture here.
