But no its impossible as Runescape is a "Browser" game.

Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.

just bump low detail up to the current standerd of high and make high alot better like 1 ghz and 256mb ram... its about time anyways becouse computer power keeps going up almost everyone can easely use it at high detail as it is.

Jagex really should make the game window bigger though.

I'm addicted to placebos.I'd give them up,but it wouldn't make any difference.

That would annoy a lot people like me with slow internet. What about a Low detail (current low detail), Medium detail(current high detail), and High detail (1ghz and 256 mb ram, whatever that means)

Thank the world for spell checkers.

I get what a few people mean here. Originally, RS was designed for anyone running 800x600... So we have:

-- Low Detail (800x600)

(No vertical detail of buildings displayed)

-- High Detail (800x600)

(Vertical detail of buildings displayed, Higher Floors pre-loaded...)

What people are asking for, and I'd personally love to see this, would be a browser applet designed to take advantage of 1024x768 or 1152x864 or 1280x1024 or higher screen resolutions, in addition to what is already there. For example:

-- Low Detail (800x600)

(No vertical detail of buildings displayed)

-- High Detail (800x600)

(Vertical detail of buildings displayed, Higher Floors pre-loaded...)

-- Low Detail (1024x768)

(No vertical detail of buildings displayed)

-- High Detail (1024x768)

(Vertical detail of buildings displayed, Higher Floors pre-loaded...)

-- Low Detail (1152x864)

(No vertical detail of buildings displayed)

-- High Detail (1152x864)

(Vertical detail of buildings displayed, Higher Floors pre-loaded...)

-- Low Detail (1280x1024)

(No vertical detail of buildings displayed)

-- High Detail (1280x1024)

(Vertical detail of buildings displayed, Higher Floors pre-loaded...)

Basically, the more desktop area you have, the more usable viewing space in your viewport, chat, map, and control section that you would have. (No, this would NOT give extra backpack slots!!!) Obviously, this would give people with high-res displays a potential advantage as they could see things better because detail could be improved further in high-res versions, but I guess after a while, these people with these insane screen resolutions are tired of having to deal with not being able to see the applet very well. :?

I have to use 1024x768 myself because of house rules, so the RS app is occasionally hard to use. Been harder since they changed the interface, though.

Anyway, 'Nuff said. Discuss.
