Nul_Oblivion
I've been having some trouble trying to figure out what food I should train with when training Strength. I'm a hybrid PKer, but my Defence is only 1, so no matter what enemy I train on, I'm going to get hit like crazy. Lately I've been fighting lvl 21 Guards because their max hit is only 3, but the only thing is I find myself running to the bank because they NEVER MISS ME! I've been using cooked Trout and Salmon, but I'm going through them too fast. I was thinking about trying Tuna, but I don't know how expensive that would get. I'M F2P BY THE WAY! Any help or advice would be appreciated, Thanks, Retired Member
ddaanniiellh
you could try training on minotours in the stronghold, they hit a max of 3 and only have 10 hp(?), they are good for training and shouldn't burn much food. But when training on my pure i use trout and salmon too. : 1437 : 173Lowest Combat to 1,000 Total in F2P (23 Combat)Check me out on YouTube! D. V. Devnull
Use Swordfish for food if you're going to be a "1 Def NOOB" (yes, I find people who think "defense-less pures" are a good thing to be rather much "nooby", so DON'T take it personally...), because without any defense, you're going to have to have all the food you can. Even then, I fear this isn't enough, so even though I am F2P, and can't ever go P2P, I'm gonna have to tell you to... evanboy70
I found minotaurs were quite good with trout, and I filled with skulls about as fast as I ate it. This was during 65 strength and up. If you used salmon and left skulls alone you could last there for quite a while. I never left a skull behind (512 and counting!) They also drop awesome amounts of irons, which are great for pure training. And 1 def pures rule, btw. Members is unnessescary, just know where to train. People just need to learn to share crabs.I'd prefer my nether regions clear of diseases, thank you very much.just turn off accept aids
skeroh
the minotaurs are probably a good choice. they also drop a crapload of iron arrows so you can train up your range with those. tunas might be good, but if you can't fish/cook them, don't do it. Retired from runescape. I will be on every now and then though. :)
transcript80
you can also 3-item. Train till you die! Might involve some walking, but no food usage! Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...

meb
Salmonand trout are the best, most time effective. Running all the way to Karamja for 1 load of lobsters isn't excactly practical. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. Isn't that why you pile up a stack of them (like 500+) in advance? ~Mr. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... Nul_Oblivion
Alright, thanks for all the input guys. It seems like Minotaurs are the popular choice, so I'll try that. The only negative side to that is the distance from the closest bank. Would you use Edgeville bank or Varrock's? Thanks again, Retired Member
Lunar_Drifter
Edgeville. And just bring a full load of salmon. By the time you eat through them, you should have at least 1k iron arrows and probably 8 or so skulls.. At least that's what I ended up with nearly each trip on my pure. Good luck! Randomnameless
IF you fight chickens you can one hit them, plus you can get the feathers. And you don't need any food.
Nul_Oblivion
IF you fight chickens you can one hit them, plus you can get the feathers. And you don't need any food. Yes, true, but you wouldn't be taking advantage of your hits. Hitting a 3 every time isn't very much experience even if they respawn rather quickly. I've been sticking with the Minotaur method as of late and it seems to be working out pretty well. I achieved 2 more strength levels (went from 60 to 62) in just a few days and I have over 3k Iron arrows and 40 Right Skulls. \ Retired Member
