December 8, 200619 yr Hello fellow tip.iters. yeah i was just wondering, is there a reason why the holiday items never come out tradable anymore? it really bothers me, it'd be cool to have another discontinued item that would be worth millions in the futur. ~Flamable 20 8-) http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/3192/w ... ildxm7.png[/img]
December 8, 200619 yr Because theyd be worth millions in the future and this would kinda mess up the ecomony even more. Plus all the scamming and stuff about it would be irritating. Personally I think its great there non trade and hope Jagex will make ones already out non-trade as well.
December 8, 200619 yr Author Good point...maybe i just like looking wealthy http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/3192/w ... ildxm7.png[/img]
December 8, 200619 yr The reason is that Jagex wants them to be fun. They are putting them in so that people can have fun and not get rich by hoarding. Eg, ripping noobs off for their holiday items, then hoarding and becoming rich. That's essentially what happened. If you want to look rich, go kill dust devils or the kalphite queen until you get a dragon chain. Or get barrows. Or just where wht the heck you want too and then show off your really old costumes 4 years from now... December 8, 200619 yr because the holiday items were introduced for fun, not profit. Noted raw mackerel drop... Wtfh? Always buying: Watermelon seeds, 2K each. Strawberry seeds, 800 each. Contact Via PM on forums.
December 8, 200619 yr because the holiday items were introduced for fun, not profit. Somtimes making profit is "fun"... depending on how you look at it... :-k :-w ^ Blog.
December 9, 200619 yr The past tradeable Holiday items made a huge effect economically in RS. Because of this, Jagex decided to make all upcoming holiday items untradeable so that they do not have to deal with any economical problems.
December 9, 200619 yr Jagex made them untradeable to show how long smoenes been playing and for fun only N0valyfe an idol to some, a great player to many, and a true runescaper to all
December 9, 200619 yr JAGeX made them un tradeable for quitting these rare items to rise in prize all the time. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
December 9, 200619 yr In regard to the tradeable items of the past, I think that having played RS longer shouldn't give you the right to millions upon millions of gp, nor should having millions and millions of gp give you the right to pretend you've played RS for a long time. Making holiday items untradeable keeps holiday items from being hyperexpensive commodities, and keeps them symbols of how long you've been a patron of RS, and in many cases, just a lot of fun.
