Nice work entangle. Um...a bit on the racey side, but nice work. The specular highlights on the ...er...top covering seem a bit off...too far to the left where one would expect more shadow.

I am unfamiliar with the pen tool in general since I use vector programs to get the smoth lines. Why would it cause colors though?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I guess since it is not possible with pixel shading you will just have to try your hand at some brush shading!

If you want to do pixel shading why not start with pixel drawongs?

Tttia - Photoshops pen tool is what you might refer to as a Bezier curve? Something like that in your program? It's the same thing. The pentool creates paths, which are vector based and can be saved as vector.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's just a basic curve tool that makes anchor points and then two elbows to manipulate with. Even 3D modeling programs use the principle of this curve on graph editors and other things.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So that's what we mean when we say pentool. :)

YEah, I guess I should say i am aware of them, (called the path tool in corel), and have used them...er...twice...but GREATLY prefer my vector tool.

Why not try b-splines? They actually go through the points you want without giving them a higher multiplicity, and you can make local changes, which is kinda difficult with beziers.
