fenarox
Why?? Recently i have spent alot of time with pest control groups, and before this i could barely hit 50 in a game, now i hit 250+ each game, so i have amassed a few tips and tricks to help you win a few more games and get a few thousand more exp. Getting there To get to Pest Control, make your way to port sarim walk to the 4 pier and talk to the squire, you will arrive here: Once there walk to the bank and withdraw your equipment. Then walk to the boat on the southern side of the island. Jump in and away you go!! Pests!! The brawler!! These are petty much strength pures, they can have the highest lvl in the mini-game (157) and block most monsters when they come outta the portal. The defiler!! These idiots are always at the gates trying to kill the knight, you can stop there attacks with protect from projectiles. Cashing in!! The rewards are the best of any mini-game in Runescape, except maybe barrows. When you win you recieve (Combat lvl*10) gp. You will also be rewarded a pest point, right click a void knight and click exchange, choose your chosen skill and then press select. To determine the amount of xp you will recieve it is worked out like this: Any skill except prayer: (levelÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâò)/6 Prayer: (levelÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâò)/12 Thanks to Tip.it for the formulae. Attack!! Attack is the hardest part of pest control, you are constantly pestered by the suicidal brawlers and the defilers that range you so you are drawn away from your main station. TIP 1. When attacking a portal stand on either side of it like this, that way you can reach the portal and the spinners without moving at all. TIP 2. Teamwork is also important when attacking, dont just kill 1 portal then stand and talk, help the other portals. PinkPurple BlueYellow TIP 3. If there is a pesky spinner and it seems people are just attacking other monsters, dont shout "spinner" or "pile the spinner" they are probably just trying to cut through the monsters that are blocking the spinner. Defence!! Defending can sometimes be hard as alot of the time the east and west gates are over-flowing with torchers and defilers. TIP 1. If the eastern and western gates are packed with monsters, run to 1 of them, but only if their is enough people defending the centre platform, usually a guy will follow you to help, this is where you have 2 choices. Choice 1, if your on your own stand infront of the queue and work your way up. Choice 2, if their is 2 of you 1 stand at the front and 1 stand further back killing the other monsters in the queue. TIP 2. Sometimes you wont have alot of damage on your counter and it is worth it to run to the southern gate and kill defilers and ravagers. Hunters!! These are the core of a pest control team, the defend the southern gate and help with the portals, they are very important people. TIP 1. When the southern gate has a queue start at the back and go forward, unless you are around lvl 90 combat this is hard unless their is a group attack from the front. Weapons and levels!! Attackers should use, whips or a dragon scimitar or battle axe, it may be ok if you use a barrows weapon, though these are slighty too slow. Defenders, a mix of people with dragon daggers and dragon longs will be aided well by a strength pure with a maul. Hunters, these guys are best suited to use a dragon battle axe, it hits high, but isnt too slow, if their is a smart archer he will take advantage of the towers and range away. Attackers are generally high lvls, around 80-90+ Defenders shouls be anyone that has a decent strength lvl and a fast weapon, i would say 60-70 Hunters are good all over the combat lvl so 70+ Notes If you attack a splatter in melee combat and kill it, if you dont run away quick enough it will hit 15-25 damage. Spinners heal the portals, dont leave them alone near a portal. ~~Fenarox~~
pizzar456
its a pretty good guide this backs up almost exactly what i do (hunter) might want to change that name though
confused
That hunter part is bs, they're actually called "monster noobs". The only thing you should really be doing at pest control in my eyes is attacking the portal.[/img] ....:::Datasi:::.... ....:::99 Magic:::.... ....:::99 Thieving:::....http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/3741/picture15jm6.jpg[/img:c156a

darksonic45
Nice guide. Needs pictures, but nonetheless a good guide.
hellbellz
It's a so-so guide, I'd give it a 6/10. You might want to include some pics (diagrams) and maybe that'd be better. Maybe add some pics of what your opinion is on what the best whole armor set-up is? For example: Berserker Helm > God Mitre Whip > D Scimmy > D B Axe God Crozier > Fury > Glory Amulet And so forth
Talal28
You need pics.. I would give it a 2/5
Justin_Levine
Isn't there also a bonus for turning in 100 points at once? If so, you should include it.
death5
You could talk about the new items that you can claim with the pest points, since that part the tip.it guide doesn't have.
The_Dragon_Reborn
Does the xp stay the same if you have 100+pc points? ~~Let The Dragon ride again, on the winds of time~~I've always felt as if I'm the only person who can understand the concept of sarcasm on the internet.
