December 25, 200619 yr I've just got a Canon SLR camera for christmas, 10Mpeg pictures. So a massive amount of quality. Which also means massive file size. Imageshack won't let me host it, I can't upload them onto Myspace. Any suggestions? File size averages 3Mb My dA account..retired, as of the 1st January 2008.
December 25, 200619 yr Author Oh.. Well.. Ok. I can't move it so, until a Mod notices. My dA account..retired, as of the 1st January 2008.
December 25, 200619 yr Unless you're posting them for stock photography for others to use at that resolution, or planning to sell them, you aren't going to have much fun trying to host 3mb pictures for family and friends to look at. What are you using the pictures for? Kinda hard to suggest things without knowing the end goal. :?
December 25, 200619 yr Author Forums, Myspace. Mainly. There on my Laptop now, Fine, I can print them off, Email them, Whatever. But i want to be able to host them and show others on Forums and Myspace. It's saved as Jpg. at the moment, I don't want to ruin the file size to much. December 25, 200619 yr Author EDIT: Wait no. I've lost quality. Ok, So back to the original question. My dA account..retired, as of the 1st January 2008.
December 25, 200619 yr Reduce their actual size. Your images are probaly around 2500x1300 or something large like that. Reduce them to something [around, keep it in proportion] 900x[whatever] and it should be fine.
December 26, 200619 yr Reduce them in size and/or use a place such as http://www.flickr.com Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape" Jagex 01/04/01 - 02/03/12
December 30, 200619 yr Author Yerh, It's all sorted thanks. Resize, Save as Jpg. Which reduces the file size and also keeps the quality. Thankyou all. My dA account..retired, as of the 1st January 2008.
December 31, 200619 yr Buy your own site (maybe $1.50 us per month minimum) and you can host large pics there
