Hounded
What's post hardcore? Oh, and please don't name another 100 bands I've never heard of. Just explain what it sounds like. From my understandings it's a band that tries to "sing" in some songs then realizes they are better off screaming... In almost complete retirement. Delthryn
Never was an expert on labelling music, but, since Trivium and Bullet for my Valentine were the first bands to come into mind...Yeah.

falco513
From the list of Post-hardcore bands on Wiki, the only one I can stand is 36 Crazyfists, so i'd have to say that was my favourite I guess...
wakka102
post hardcore isn't my favorite and I'm not exactly sure what defines it so some of these may not be in that genre... Underoath (the newest album) Bullet for my Valentine Atreyu (from what I've heard of them)
supermonk
Can someone explain to me what "post" means used in this context? Supermonk, proving you wrong since 1992. Supermonk rocks, I want to have his children.Music is like candy. You always get rid of the rapper.
warri0r45
Can someone explain to me what "post" means used in this context? post = after post hardcore = the off-shoot genre from hardcore punk. as others have said: :-X dosent really appeal to me. Although i do like some hardcore metal (metalcore?) as long as it dosent have homosexual vocals.
hockEynfish
Blindside, and Underoath. That's about it. But underoath is really more emo screamo.. Oh and to the topic creator, alot of those bands are more punk/emo-ish.. I'd say A Static Lullaby was the only post hardcore band you named. And Flee the Seen. Futurama
post hardcore and metalcore are almost identical. there's a noticable difference between the two, mostly that - sorry to stereotype btw - post hardcore has more emo and punk influences (often more melodic and emotional) whereas metalcore is usually less melodic, harder, and with er, metal influences. hahah. anyway, Alexisonfire are one of my favourite bands, not sure if funeral for a friend fit that genre but i love them aswell :]

Metalcore has more metal roots and "post hardcore" has more emo/punkish roots.

Zodiak12
I guess I'm a post-hardcore fanboy then. Of the Wiki list I like more than I dislike. I would not say TBS were post-hardcore (currently!) and nor would I say Drop, Dead Gorgeous were post-hardcore as they have minimal singing and next to always screaming but I still like them too :P To name a few: 36 Crazy Fists Alexisonfire Drop Dead, Gorgeous Enter Shikari Escape The Fate Fightstar From First To Last Funeral For A Friend Girls Against Boys Hawthorne Heights Hundred Reasons Senses Fail Saosin Silverstein TBS Thrice Thursday UnderOATH I found Taste Of Chaos tour awsome in this case
