Mr. Nub's guide for attracting objects.

As with the new Animal Magnetism Quest, I have created a guide for finding out what you can attract with your backpack. Note: I'm going to assume accumulator and attractor are the same, so the rate anything appears will be the same ( I haven't actually used the attractor, just accumulator ).

I have found that when moving, the rate is about 28 seconds for every object. When not moving, it takes about 4 mins to attract an object. Also, carrying more weight seems to help attraction, and running makes the time of attraction about 1 1/2 faster ( 20 seconds ). Also, being in Draynor Manor gives a attraction time of about 25 seconds ( weird but I expiramented and it seems its faster in there ). It seems that karamanja jungle has a rate of about 26 seconds ( dont ask me why I expiramented ). Note that the attraction time is always the same in the certain area.

This is good because it has the best range bonuses for a cape in the whole game ( I think ).

Here is a list of the objects I have gotten, and I will update when I find a new item, and rarer items will have a ® next to them:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Steel arrows-steel throw knives-steel darts-steel javelins®-steel med helms®-toys® ( so far only mouses and a toy soilder )-steel nails-steel chainbodies®-cannonball® ( only got 1 time )- iron ore-hammer-steel dagger-steel arrowhead

If you want to have many items, spend a while in Draynor Manor, with the increased rate its quicker. I would not recomend going into the jungle because of tribesmen and broodoos. Also, im going to expirament if walking around were zogres are gives you a chance of getting a steel brutal arrow. Also, Im going to expirament using the ring of wealth, as I seem to have gotten my rarest items wearing one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This guide will be updated as soon as I finish an expirament or find a new item. I will also start testing with an attractor, as soon as I declare I've done everything with an accumualtor.

Yah TY for the rating. I could put in pics, but I have no clue how and when I posted a thread to ask they locked it. they said to go to the sticky but it didnt help. I wanted to add pics. And every quest is fun when you print out runetips quest guide! I print it out every time I do a quest :-P

Yah, I forgot about the ore. I updated it a bit, and found that the spawn time in H.A.M. is about 31 seconds. Agaain, dont ask me why, but i expiramented. The cannoball is unbeliveably rare and I dont know how I got one. The same is with the hammer ( note it is a smithing hammer )

I figured out my steel arrows per hour if it would help. It is 85.2 arrows per hour, I'm not sure if your range level effects it or not though.

I don't think that the one second difference is anything worth pointing out. One second is hardly anything at all, and it was probably was an error on your part.

erm i where mine all the time but ive never got any items from it wats wrong? ive only got steel arrows from it

excellent... you timed it well... I only hae the attractor, and ive gotten plenty of iron items... i dont have any times though... check this list against your findings

 

 

 

iron arrows, iron med helm (2), iron throwing knives (at least 10) iron throwing ax steel arrow (2) :shock: :shock: :shock: i still dont know when i got those, i was in the wildy, no one about and no items on the ground... maybe just a bug though

It's a nice guide, but it missed one requirement.

 

 

 

Is this usefull in anyway? I mean nobody is going to run around in draynor manner for hours to get a few k steel arrows, getting money and buying them is probably faster.

Although this isn't really a guide, any research/study of a new game item is extremely welcome.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Those of us with an interest would like to see your raw data (each information point: what you got, where, and in how much time; preferably repeated many times to eliminate randomness) rather than just your conclusions.
