Rednik
Full rune is all I can say because I'm F2P... And, You can't even bother to say "tomorrow" instead of "2morrow"? It's just 2 letters, geeeeeeez
Adamskii
For basic melee training I would suggest purchasing Guthans, simply because of its special effect, which occasionally lets you heal the amount of damage you inflict to the monster. If you are not fighting particularly high leveled monsters a set of full rune and some monkfish is still a good combination.
ballllllllin
your banner says f2p, cant you just say free to play. and dont post if your not going to help with my question
Doomster
Depends on your stats... all the barrows sets are 70 defence plus other requirements, and barrows has a repair cost too. If you want a barrows set for melee training, the healing effect of Guthans (random effect with full set) may let you stay longer in an area, but it's probably a waste of the repair cost to use it that way. Otherwise, good training setups are full rune, full rune with dragon weapon (req, 60 attack, 40 def), or full/partial dragon armour (req. 60 def). If you are training on stuff that doesn't hit hard or often, then your F2P rune armour is still an effective training set, though if you have 60 attack, going for a dragon weapon is a higher priority, as it will increase your damage output. slayer9434
Come on people just stop criticizing and answer the question. The answer to your question is probably for you is a combo of rune armor and after you do some quests more stuff will open up like dragon weapons and freminik helms and such. don't use guthans for standard combat only for certain things. Hope that helps a bit more. Freesia
Things you can wear if you can't afford barrows -Beserker helm -Rune pl8(may consider granite pl8 for better def -Rune legs(d legs if you have them) -Highly recommend barrows gloves (though need completion of rfd) otherwise any should be fine -Climbing boots or rune boots -Whip -Rune defender or shield/book -Obby cape/legends or CoA. Best is fire cape Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

manatea3O5
HEY BALLLLLLIN!!! you probobly dont remember me, but you might know me as p 0 0 n king on rs, or d strength d, (my pures) i saw you sitting in the hill giant hut in like 15 wild the other day, at least i think it was you... it was a guy named 'balllllin pk' or ballllling pker or something like that... anyways if i was you, a rich arrow, and feather seller i would buy full guthans just like that one mod guy said... but if your f2p i would get full rune (g) for like 1m, a rune wh, power amulet, yellow cape, fancy boots, gold gloves, and you will look 'balllling' lol, and still own with the rune war hammer, but thats just for walking around, but yeah, for training definitly guthans, or maybe veracs, their set effects both own pretty hard, veracs (hit through armour and prayer), and guthans (randomly when you hit a number that number will be added to your hp), good luck... Bradley_006
your banner says f2p, cant you just say free to play. and dont post if your not going to help with my question The word Free To Play would not fit in that space. Strength: Dharoks Full Set, Rune Boots, Fury amulet, Barrows Gloves, Berserker Ring and low Hit Points. The Rest: Torags Platebody, Torags Legs, Amulet of Fury, Berserker Ring, Abyssal Whip, Berserker Helmet, Barrows Gloves, Rune Boots, Obby Shield. Abyssalwhip
Matter of opinion whether you want better accuracy and strength or defence Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....
silveraxe00
Torags has a bad set effect but full torags no hammers with a whip and dragon square is good. But that means you need 70 def 70 attk and have to complete legends.
The Dark Lord
Really rich: 3rd age 2. dragon 3. guthans 4. verac 5. torags Also, ahrim + whip + obsidian shield is a good combo. Pros: Good mage defense/ attack, decent melee protection, looks cool Cons: Not as good as rune armor, and not very good stab protection as it is made of chainmail. SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.
