Apparently ruby bolt has the ability to do 20% of your opponent's HP in one shot (of course you get hit 10% of your own HP, otherwise its too good). Questions: 1) How often does this special hit? 2) Does it work for NPCs with ~300 HP? (you'd be hitting 60's... o_o) The dragon bolt spec is quite good too: possibility to hit using dragonfire. Questions: 1) How often does this special hit? 2) How high does this special hit? And if you don't know, please test them out! :) It's in your best interest to help me out here; you could definitely profit with these spec if they indeed hit well. January 11, 200719 yr I have both (actually almost all kinds) of bolts enchanted and I can tell you that the ruby IMO is worth it (although I haven't tried it on a 300+ hp npc) its spec hits enough for me to like them. The dragon bolts however hit VERY rarely and unless you have lots of extra dstones you don't know what to do with (I do lol) or just way too many glories, I wouldn't recommend making them. I made about 60 dstone bolts at one point and I only ever saw 1 spec hit (although it was a quite satisfactory 50+) and used up more than half the bolts. Personally I don't care that it rarely hits because they are rune bolts anyways they hit well without specialling. The rubies are also nice because you don't have to worry as much about using them since rubies are much easier to get.

If you know anything about him, pm me.lol that was a good story but his eyesight must be poor... it's a well known fact that mods only drop garages on players. :lol:
January 11, 200719 yr I've only experimented with the opal and pearl bolts, and it seems like only 1-20 actually result in a special. Does anyone know if higher level bolts get the special more frequently? Otherwise, the slow rate of fire of a crossbow, and cost involved, don't seem worth it to me.
