January 14, 200719 yr Needs AA around the edges. I havn't looked at those vids but I have no idea what it's supposed to be (obv it's a "mythilogical" creature, but still.) So I guess some AA and either a guide telling us where its head begins and its toes end, or some structure. As far as I can see the black parts are the foreground and the red parts are the background.
January 14, 200719 yr Author corect you are. the red near his eyes is his tounge tho. i know what aa is, i just havent gotten around to adding it >.< in the video, he starts out basicly having no idea what hes drawing. he draws the head, and basicly draws some random shape for the body. i felt i couldnt get the same effect by doing something as mainstreem such as a dragon, or a beast of some kind, so i followed his example, and drew some random shape, and cut parts of it out later to form his body. wop wop

January 15, 200719 yr the colors don't work, or your not using them right. experement some more with the colors and where you put 'em thats great, but you didnt tell me how to 'use them right'... as far as im concerned, i can use colors however i please... the palette clashes to much. using colors right shape, depth, harmony? in other words tone down your purples and use it in a way that is fitting and make it into a 3 dimensional shape instead of a 2 dimensional blob of colors. i hope that is clear enough for you.
