159k feathers - time.

Hey, I'm Bonko and I currently have 159k feathers.

Now...I just want some help on the time it would maybe take to do all this. Please don't discourage me or say I'll give up - I won't either way so its annoying to read those messages.

I honestly don't care even if it takes me a year, but I'm pretty sure it'll be much less than that...I'm even fine with 6 months.

All I want is a time estimate (maybe including fish a day) and some support, thanks.

~bonko

Wow  ! Thats a lot of feathers, I wish I had that many. But an estimate on time...hmm, maybe around 6 months I would say, but I've nvr fished in that large amounts and don't play that much each day. At my fishing I could catch around 300-400 fish per hour (I think), while selling to the general store in lumby.

Thanks for your input! Anyone else?

It'd also be appreciated if you could tell me what the best place for Luring/fly fishing is in F2P - outside Barbarian or what?

ok first fly fish at barb village and then bank in edgeville walk to bank and run bank save alot of energy and time when u use all ur feathers and have 99 fishing u can either sell the raw fish or cook them if ur going to cook them i would cook in edgeville go onto world 1,3 and firemakers are there just cook bank if ur going to sell sell raw trout 40ea salmon 50ea oh and if urgoing to sell pm epeeflecher in game i buy all salmon

Just a bit of advice, don't carry all your feathers, only a couple thousand at a time.

I lost about 15k when I died from a troll.

Barbarian Village is usually the best place

1 k feathers will take me about one and a half to two hours to fish. So say if you do 1 k a day, 1,5 - 2 hours a day. Thats 159 days.

I'm also luring with 120k feathers, enough to get me to 95 fishing (77 atm). What I do is catch the fish, cook and sell to the people in Barbarian Village (trout 10ea, salmon 30ea). Fishing + cooking xp gained, and profit.

If you want to max your profit then you will have to bank the fish caught and sell, which will take some time compared to fishing and cooking on the spot.

If you bank them

I do in fact plan to bank the feathers for optimum cooking as well. If its 159 days it will take 5-6 months, at 1k a day. But I'll try to do more when I have time.

If anyone has any more input, its appreciated! thanks everyone :)

My advise is to bank them in Edgeville and train only until level 62.

Why 62?

Monkfish goes very fast and it's a usefull fish to train combat and you only need fishing 62 and magic 66 to get it..

I got 8k trouts and salmons and I really am sick and tired of making bank trips to get them.

If you are planing to fish and sell in store, do it in Lumbridge. Why?

Inside Lumbrige general store you got a Fireplace on the East wall of the store where you can cook all your fish.

Hehe, thanks for the advice guys - and I'm always open for more!

just some clarification:

-I do want to bank...gain fishing levels, cooking for later.

-I don't mind the time taken, honestly, I don't. Even if I get bored I'll find a way to distract myself and then get back to it.

:)

Actually... You seem to stop fishing a lot more in barb village compared to Lumby. In lumby you can fish for ages without stopping but in barb village you stop like every 20 second.

So what do you people think?

a) Banking fish until all feathers are used up [barbarian Village], and cooking later or..

B) Fishing at Lumbridge, cook, and then sell to the General Store?

Personally I've supported the banking of fish at Barbarian but all feedback is appreciated!

Rednik, your sig is hilarious, I went all the way to end :P

What i found good was fishing at barb village in world 1. In your inventory you have fly fishing rod, feathers, axe and tinderbox. Once you inventory is full of food, go cut down a tree. Make a fire and cook all your fish. Then yell out "giving free fish", Many ppl wil want it.

yeah, it saves the time for u to walk to general store and sell, drop, and the fire makes it easy to cook, just yell free fish during cookin and give them the fish, drop the burnt cuz noone will want them

Ok the first half of the post seemed good, but what about the other half. Are you talking about lumbridge or barb village here? Not many ppl at lumbridge to take the fish.

i can get 1 full load in 30sec-2min

so about 1 hour = 400-500 fish

if u no life 4 hours a day

u can waste 2k feathers

a day

which will be around 80 days or 3 months
