People with older computers would have even more trouble loading the page with those size changes. As Terley said, stick to the rules or leave. :P

just learn to compress your sigs...

It won't be bumped to a higher limit, but just about most sigs can be compressed under the limit so just post in the sticky of Questions if you need help with resizing.
