I stopped going to alot of those types of conventions after guys starting hitting on me... :-s (yeah im a guy too) Just because somone likes to create costumes doesn't mean they aren't straight :( I think your outfit is pretty much dead on... Your friend's busterblade is also pretty darn sweet New sigzor^^
