rik Posted February 22, 2007 Share Posted February 22, 2007 im tired and have a head ack so... i decided to work on it some more :-k it was a bad idea.... i think the update looks bad and im probably gona scrap it and go back to my last stage but.... ill see what ya think first ok since born2die already helped you with this i only have a few things to mention: * dont let the rock lines where the pinguins stand circle around because it makes it look flat. * Try to pick some colors and shade the ground untherneath the pinguins so he doesnt ooks just pasted in it. * The river looks realy flat and could use alot of chance. If i wait a second i can edit a bit so the river looks better (i hope u don't mind that). ok so here is a little chance i just couldn't get the colors right so... * Choose some new darker colors for the side of the rock and make it darker from the right to the left and from up-down so u get a sort of diagonal shading. (Note that its must be certainly not real lines because they would ruin the piece) that are the most important things on the moment... I hope this helps you a bit and i will try to get an exemple how to get the river less flat. If u have questions just post them and i think there are enough people to help you out :wink: . I have to admit the ledge is very weird, no ledge forms out of a bunch of small rocks, its usually one big rock, and the top of the ledge is never perfectly straight. add some clouds or sun in the sky too. mindstormer398 Posted March 9, 2007 Share Posted March 9, 2007 I can see a couple things to change The clif's texture is really rough, but it's general shape is really plain. Either rough up the shape or smoothen the texture. The lighting on black penguin's belly makes it look like there's a second sun by the river or something. Since there's mountain's all around I don't think you could see the sun once it sets that low. The sword looks a little to shiny for the rest of the picture, unless that's the focus of the whole thing. +-------------------------+| . . . .
