Shadow Warriors

Featured Replies

Hey there, please forgive me if a topic like this has already been started, and if so, a link and a close of this thread would be awesome!

I finally got myself to do Legends today, and I remembered how I read about shadow warriors and how they're a great training spot, due to the left half dragon shield.

I see that they are aggressive, so this will help narrow down the answer to my question(s).

Are they worth fighting? Is the dragon drop ratio better on these guys as people say? Or is it the simple fact that more people kill these than other creatures, which makes more drops?

I'm down here right now, checking out the forums, and taking a break from questing, and I definatly would like a "safe" (they're pretty wussy) way of casually working combats while "semi" afk (I check game every 5-10 second sor so, and use headphones to listen to all sounds)

So basically my question is a multiparter; is their drop ratio actually higher than other monsters; and are they worth "afk" fighting?

Thanks, in advance.

(P.S. - thanks for moving my post, I thought I put it in here, but I guess I clicked wrong. Thanks :) )

Man, I really do love Runescape, and I'm sure if it was a real person I would of asked it to marry me by now.

I never trained on them long enough to get a left half, but I found them OK afk training, better if you have a cannon. So, I really don't know, but I would give it a go, and see how you like it :D

I personally would not find it interesting to kill a monster just for some rare item that it drops. If a rare item does drops, i count my blessings \'

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

They're great for speed training I suppose. You can hit them quite hard and fairly often compared to other monsters.

As for drops, I killed about 4k of them without receiving a dragon half, so I don't recommend them for that.

You do however, receive lots of herbs, gems and mith bars from them.

In short, they won't make you rich, but they are good training and the drops are ok'ish.

Shadow warriors drop the whole gambit of items, - runes, wpns, herbs, bars. The bank is just upstairs so makes it easy to bank drops. They don't hit all that often so u do need to bring food. The chance of getting a dragon half shield is about same as needle in a haystack.

Barrows Drops: Guthan's platelegs and War Spear, Dharok's plate body and Great Axe, Verac's Flail, Verac's Helm x 2, Ahrim's top, Dharok's plate legs

Dragon Drops: Medium Helm x 4, Shield Left Half, plate legs x 2, skirt x 2.

Drops: 1x Draconic Visage, 56x Abyssal Whip, 5x Demon Head, D Drops: 37, Barrows Drops: 43, DK Drops: 29

GWD drops: 14,000x Bars, 1x Armadyl Hilt, 2x Armadyl Skirt, 4x Sara Sword, 1x Saradomin Hilt, 8x Bandos Hilt, 8x Bandos Platebody, 9x Bandos Tassets, 4x Bandos Boots, 43x Godsword Shard, 82x Dragon Boots

Dry streak records: Saradomin 412 kills Bandos 988 kills Spirit Mages 633 kills - Slayer Sucks

Well, I've experienced that they have a better chance of dropping gems and half-keys than other monsters, and because these drops are tied to shield halves, I assume that they drop those more, too. I have also noticed that they are good XP to train on, and I rejoice when I get them as a slayer assignment.
