We may come up with new inventions, methods, or other things. I think education is crucial, but the currently educated (people with phd's etc) should work on the climate change issue. The incentive of 30 million dollars that Richard Branson threw into the melting pot just recently is a step in the right direction although It's kind of sad that (most likely) people will only try and resolve the issue because of the money on offer. dangeresque
I think all of those are very important...climate change has got to be up there for me though because it could potentially end the human race...
Korla
From http://www.hawaiianatolls.org/research/NWHIRAMP2004/features/trophic-detective-story.php There are estimates that the phytoplankton in the ocean contributes up to 50% of the oxygen in the atmosphere, so they are a more important source of the oxygen we breathe than even the rain forests. Dunno how secure that source is, but I've heard it before aswell. Just something for you rain forest freaks. I think the reason rain forests get so much attention is all the cute and cuddly animals in there, well, the more cute and cuddly animal than slimy fishes and plankton anyhow. Just saying water pollution is more important than rain forests in the end.

Because the prolem with cutting down forests is not necessarily the lost oxygen production, but the lost carbon dioxide consumption. Sorry if I was totally off track there. There ought to be funding into alternative sources of wood like materials, and restrictions so that the rainforests, the few we have left, are protected. Rose_2_Pure
Climate Change I think the Climate Change is a natural course of the Earth. I don't think we need to worry about stopping it just on how to adjust to it. Poverty I have lived in poor families and neighboor hoods ALL my life. Sure it's a problem but we have learned to deal with it. The reconstruction of our rain forest We DO need to reconstruct the Rain Forest. Because eventually if we don't find a way to help the problem it will dissapear altogether. Child Abuse Not much we can do about Child Abuse. That would be like solving all the problems of the world. Because to do that you'd have to take out Emotion, Skin Color, Gender, Age; pretty much our Conscience. Education Education is the number one thing for me since I HATE stupid people. I can't stand them. But as Issy fixing this will drastically effect the others, most likely for the best. Terrorism Terrorism. There is NOTHING we can do to stop this. There is always going to be someone against our Freedom or who doesn't agree with our views on something. Crime Crime is the same as Terrorism. Impossible to stop. Gin_and_Tonic
Stopped, and adressed are two different words. If we were to adress something, we can by no means stop it, buy theres a possibility we can make a turn for the better. Then again, is education the start of it all? :-k
Tigra00
Hmm... Important: 1.) Climate Change - Could seriously mess the Earth up if it is infact us doing it. We're cutting down the Earth's lungs and pumping massive amounts of Co2 into the air, and by definition, that means it is us doing it. 2.) Energy sources - Oil sucks. Screw global warming, how about global war? It'll happen eventually, and big oil companies are letting it happen just to line their pockets. If you actually think there is nothing better out there to use than oil, you're absolutely insane. Not Important AT ALL: 1.) Homosexual marriage - Whooooo cares? Why waste the resources and time? 2.) War on Terror - Yawn. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!
