The lowest level troll are the Thrower Trolls, but I wouldn't recommend fighting them. They are in a multi combat zone and throw rocks at you that can hit up to 7 (according to the Tip.It Beastiary). The best trolls for fighting would have to be the Mountain Trolls in the mountain pass that leads to Keldagrim. Bring your best melee armour and plenty of food. If you have a spare super set or normal set, bring that as well.

If you are looking to range trolls at all then there is quite a few safespots on Death Plateau, thats where I normally kill them. They hit quite hard so Id say range / hally would be the best option.

if you wanna get it done fast you could always go out to the hill in 46 wild with the saphire with 100s of level 2 spiders. That or try the security stronghold.

Heh, I don't blame you with all the cautionary advice, Trolls do hit hard though. The nice thing about Slayer is that you still get experience even if you decide to Burthorpe the task after you have started it, so it's always worth it to give a try to a new monster assignment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As to the spiders, maybe the red ones in the Varrock sewer or Edgeville dungeon would be good?
