Need help on taking my rs char out of background

Featured Replies

Ok i need help on taking a runescape character out of a picture leaving the background out. How do i go about doing this?

Here are the pictures that i want to take my character out of:

The first one:

The second one:

And the third one:

If anyone can take the character out of the background for me that would be great. It would be even better if you could teach me how as well. :D

IF you had saved them as .png then it would have been possible to get a nice edge, but now that you saved them as jpgs, your firstborn will die.

How would you do this in the Microsoft Paint program?

theirs several ways, but they take time. the simplest one is to use the pencil tool to fill in it all white.

Another one is to use the bucket to fill, this can be faster or slower, depending on the background

Another way is to use the free form select optionn (found in top left of toolbar) to make an outline around the thing you want to cut out, hit cntrl-c then cntrl-a then hit delete, then hit cntrl-v and clear out any stray pixels you missed.

Of course there are others, but these were just some off the top of my head.

Ok thanks.

Since there is no anti-aliasing (smoothing) in RS graphics, you can easily do it by removing pixel by pixel and getting a clean result.

You would get something else besides the Microsoft Paint program. It sucks.

Free, Open-Source, runs on most systems, and is a LOT better than Paint.

It's uber easy to do. And you don;t need any advanced software or other. Do it in MS Paint. Just zoom in alot =d.

there is a windows version, but first of all i would not recommand gimp for such a little things like this, because GIMP is realy hard to understand and with ms paint u can do the same the only thing is that it is a little more work... also u can try paint.net but dont ask me to much about that, PJB could give u a full tutorial of information of pain.net so ask him.

There also are other programs such ask jask paintshoppro, its cheap but pretty powerfull and can do almost the same things as adobe photoshop.

And ofcourse adobe photoshop, its the most powerfull of all these programs but its realy expansive and to learn all of it just like GIMP it takes a time but its easier then GIMP and it can do more.

I hope that helps a little ::'

I tried it but i can't get the perfect outline. It's too hard for me. :D

Nitemare423.gif

Choose zoom, and choose large veiw.

Then, use the cutter thingy that's in the shape of a rectangle to get most of the pixels out.

Then switch to the pencil tool to get rid of any extra pixels that you missed.

Finnaly, choose zoom and choose normal size, and admirer(sp) your work. :D
