vixjade
I have read about the curse spell a few times on H & A over the past few weeks and something puzzles me. Why would you cast it in rune armour & dragon vambs to make the spell fail? I am sure there is a perfectly logical explanation but I can't for the life of me work it out. Many thanks Vix
Gin_and_Tonic
Its simple: You still get the same amount of Xp whether or not your fail cure. By failing curse if saves you having to keep swapping monsters to curse on, while the spell remains in effect... So you save time just cursing the same foe over and over. phata_elise
Easy, if you fail the spell you still get the exp for it. However, if your curse spell is succesfull, your target is cursed for a couple of seconds. During this period you cannot cast the spell at him again. By failing the spell you can continuously cast curse on your target, giving you the fastest exp.

Doomster
You can fail other spells deliberately, it's just that there is no loss from doing so with curse (or weaken / confuse, if below curse level). Strikes can be failed, with the advantage that you can carry on autocasting until timed out or randomed, but the disadvantage that it is lower XP per shot, and the runes tend to be more expensive, and you give up the additional XP (to magic and HP) that would be gained from hits. The advantage of failed strikes, is you could do them while browsing forums. From curse level (19) to about 10-15 levels more, curse failing is quite a fast and effective way to level, but boring as hell at higher levels - the mage equivalent of power mining. Gin_and_Tonic
If you look at Forum Suggestions, you'll see why people need to edit their titles to reduce further posting of spam or pointless reponses... Doomster kinda of clarified my point by posting the exact same repsonse that i did, plus some information about strikes being failed, which he didn't ask for. Also, i've no idea why Dragon-Reborn said that. :-s

Gin_and_Tonic
Hm, if you're trying to imply that im young, you're very much mistaken...
