andufusthebronze
What's the best way to power EVERY skill?
Harrington
Quite a big topic to cover... any specific skill? Here's a guide I was working on, in my clan forum. AGILITY Here's a list of all favoured training arenas and how much experience you can expect to achieve at them per hour. Skullball : 15k exp per hour (my average coursetime is 2 mins) Hours to lvl 99 : 866 Ape Atol : 35k exp per hour (you need monkey greegee) Hours to lvl 99 : 371 Wildnerness : 50k exp per hour (you'll waste time being pk'ed though) Hours to lvl 99 : 260 NOTE: these figures assume you already have the required experience to enter the specified course. CONSTRUCTION W.I.P. COOKING One word "Sharks"... plain n' simple. You earn 210 exp per shark cooked, very fast experience and well worthwhile if you're already lvl 85+ Here's the quickest spot (closest range to a bank) Breakdown to follow... CRAFTING W.I.P. FARMING FIREMAKING The following assumes that you'll be starting from lvl 1 and will buy the logs (as opposed to cutting them for yourself) You can burn 1k logs per hour. That's one every 3.6 seconds. The guide assumes you'll manage this. Normal logs to lvl : 15 Logs Required : 60 Cost : 6k (regular logs are 100gp each) Time : 4 mins Oak logs to lvl : 30 Logs Required : 184 Cost : 5.5k (oak logs are 30gp each) Time : 12 mins Willow logs to lvl : 45 Logs Required : 533 Cost : unknown Time : 32 mins Maple logs to lvl : 60 Logs Required : 1,570 Cost : 157k (maples cost 100gp each) Time : 95 mins Yew logs to lvl : 99 Logs Required : 63,028 Cost : 15.1m (assuming they cost 240gp each) Time : 63 hours TOTAL COST : 15.2m TOTAL TIME : 65 hours One of the most important things when firemaking is that you find a spot with long runs East to West, that aren't too busy. Here's my favourite spots FISHING Although lobsters and shark are the most profitable, they are very slow experience. Assuming you're not too bothered about profit, then the quickest fishing experience is to be found in Shilo Village. I personally average about 35k experience per hour, and I'm lvl 82 fishing. At that rate it'll take me about 291 hours to level, but I will pick up speed as my levels increase. FLETCHING At my best, I could manage 225k experience per hour fletching. I achieved this by stringing alone. If I pay attention, I can string 3k bows per hour. This is possible by using a one click bank (like the Cul' chest in Lumby Castle basement or the chest at CastleWars) 1. Withdraw 14 unstrung bows, then 14 strings. 2. Move an unstrung bow down to inventory slot 28. 3. With two items next to each other, quickly select one then the other. You'll be able to string your inventory in about 8 seconds. 4. Repeat lol (i'll include picture at some point of inventory setup) Ideally you should be doing this with magic longs, but they're very difficult to buy in bulk, and the initial capital outlay is very high. So you really should just use yew longs bows I guess. Buy at the following prices. Yew unstrung : 280-300 each Strings : 160-200 each Sell at the following prices. Yew longbow : 550 each Profit per bow. Anything from 50gp - 110gp So 150k - 330k per hour!!! So easy money, and very fast exp. HERBLORE W.I.P. HITPOINTS W.I.P. MAGIC Until lvl 87, high alchemy is the quickest and most sustainable way of levelling. If you work hard, you can alch up to 1k items per hour. Many players like to coordinate this skill with something like Fletching or Crafting (as these provide high value items to alch'). The quickest way to high alch is to enable mouse keys. This feature turns your Keypad into a mouse of sorts. Specifically, your Num5 key becomes your Left Mouse Click. This can be accessed via your Control Panel -> Accessability Options. Now position your inventory as follows.... The reason for this is that your alching item will be directly under the mouse cursor each time you click the High Alch spell. You can now just use the Num5 key with this, save you moving the mouse around. Once you reach lvl 87, you can really start powering with experience. You'll need to buy a mud staff and as many cosmic runes as you can initially afford. Now head off to Mage Training and play the the Enchanting game. If you're just after pure speed and not bothred about gaining piazza points, then just enchant whatever the hell you want. Otherwise play it properly (but you'll manage far less enchantments). The advantage of not watching what you enchant is that you'll manage at LEAST 1k enchantments per hour (equalling 100k experience per hour) However, there's something to be said for going slower as you'll be able to trade in your piazza points for lots of cosmic runes enabling you to more affordably sustain your push for lvl 99 magic. Regardless, you'll need 92k cosmic runes to reach lvl 99 (so about 92 hours of gameplay) MELEE (attack, defence & strength) W.I.P. MINING The quickest form of mining is Iron. The reason for this is that once you hit about lvl 50, you can one hit iron ore. The best spot is the mining field North East of Yanille (see map). There's three rocks right next to each other that are perfect for quick mining. There's also four rocks just north of there if those three are busy If you work hard, you can manage about 700 ores per hour. IRON BREAKDOWN Time Required : 516 hours (25k exp per hour) Cost : Zero Profit : 36.8m (selling 368,500 iron for 100gp each) COAL BREAKDOWN Time Required : 860 hours (15k exp per hour - 300 coal ores) Cost : Zero Profit : 38.7m (selling 258,000 coals for 150gp each) Iron is much quicker and only slightly less profitable. PRAYER W.I.P. RANGE W.I.P. RUNECRAFTING W.I.P. SLAYING W.I.P. SMITHING W.I.P. THIEVING W.I.P. WOODCUTTING W.I.P.

Captainkidd
andufusthebronze that is true but, its not a range and some how people don't want fires for cooking stuff, yet I can't seem to find out why :-k ................ :x
Chartres
andufusthebronze that is true but, its not a range and some how people don't want fires for cooking stuff, yet I can't seem to find out why :-k ................ :x Indeed. According to the Runescape Knowlege Base, you are less likely to burn items cooked on a range. And as Harrington was talking about cooking shark I can see why he would suggest the closest range to a bank rather than a fire :)
Severation
As for firemaking, there are a few other spots I use - Duel Arena and Varrock West Bank

Goobore
...Here's a guide I was working on, in my clan forum. ... Willow logs to lvl : 45 Logs Required : 533 Cost : unknown Time : 32 mins Willows are 12 gp each from the General store when many are in stock. So, that about 6400 gp for cost. Maple logs to lvl : 60 Logs Required : 1,570 Cost : 157k (maples cost 100gp each) Time : 95 mins or, use 2355 Willows at a cost of less than 29k The Lumbridge and Rimmington general stores usually have thousands in stock from the nearby cutters. Rimmington has plenty of space for a burn line just south of the village. Hope this helps

Goobore
...Ok, thanks for that Goobore. In case you didn't notice, I edited my post by adding some data in the Maple log section: "or, use 2355 Willows at a cost of less than 29k" Hope this helps
mchainmail
um... with firemaking, your numbers are off. Quite a bit. if you start burning logs as soon as you can, it will take 3, 4, 5 "strikes" of the tinderbox to light the logs. In essence, it is faster to do willows til 60, maples till 75, yews till 99, as opposed to your method.
