Nanosauromo
Behold, the result of a month long two-man project in my ceramics class: It's a large plant pot covered in red, orange, and yellow broken ceramic tiles, with clay "flames" sticking out at various points. In between the pieces is red tile grout. It is really heavy. The pot is currently on display in the window of a local Copperfield's and will be auctioned off at a school art show next weekend. My partner and I both get a cut of the money. :D You only have to type four extra keys for me to not think "ur" an idiot.solardeathray.teensupergenius.com

Mementh
how much are you thinking it will go for? Any chance we can bid remotely or something? The following statement is true. The previous statement is false. 60% of all statistics are made up 90% of the time andrew i love you & want you to have my babys!!! Finally, I get to save the Earth with deadly lasers instead of deadly slide shows!

Nanosauromo
I like it, how hard was it? I mean, thats like a perfect pot. I like the little horns everywhere too! 9.5/10. Well let's see... Making clay slabs, glazing them, shattering them into small pieces. Gluing them to a large (think 1.5 feet tall) clay plant pot so they all fit together. Making and glazing the flames, and gluing them between the tiles. Painstakingly scraping excess glue off of each and every tile. Pressing red tile grout (cement) between the tiles. Painstakingly scraping excess grout off of each and every tile. Lots and lots of work. :) You only have to type four extra keys for me to not think "ur" an idiot.solardeathray.teensupergenius.com

hiimben
I made one of those last year, I know the effort that goes into making one. However, we didn't add clay to it, nor (if you did) make our own tiles. I got up to finishing the gluing of the tiles, didn't get to put that grout on (because I'd been sick most of the term when we did it)
Evilperson
I was confused at the title for a second, i had momentary dyslexia. Nice job though. Its always nice to get paid for art \ Everybody lovin' it, but ain't no body touchin' it

Viktorkrum77
Did you cut or break your own glass? Oh, how I love cutting glass!! Me doing staff.
Celt23
That's a really nice pot. Wish I knew how to do that. You should do mosaics like these in the future: It's like pixeling except the pixels are colored tiles.
Nanosauromo
Did you cut or break your own glass? Oh, how I love cutting glass!! It's not glass, it's ceramic. Fired clay that's been glazed, then smashed with a hammer. No glass was involved in the making of this pot. However, I cut a lot of glass while making my Solar Death Ray. Glasscutting is loads of fun. You only have to type four extra keys for me to not think "ur" an idiot.solardeathray.teensupergenius.com
