emoryarts
Currently Level 59 Range  ...i hate range Goal is Level 70+ Outfit(s) What should I wear? Assuming money is not an issue BUT don't want to purchase Robin, what is my best bet? Magic Short Bow + Iron Arrows VS Iron Knives + (???) Which is the better for training? What should I use with Knives? Is Defender accurate or is that melee only? Training Location Where is the best spot for me? Suggestions Anything else that can be contributed would be most appreciated!
Vulxai
from what i've heard (obviously have not tried yet considering my range is only 56) is fire giants in the waterfall if your p2p and done the waterfall quest. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
rhan_wolf
My range is fairly low. But i'd say to stay with the bow and iron arrows. ------------------------sword metal.com

marnuke
fire giants are great exp for mage if bolting, and when i was down there seen a lot of high lvl rangers also training there, so i personally think it is a great place to train if you have done the quest. Barrows drops: ahrims staff (2), karils coif, karils xbow, torags plate body, veracs helm.
transcript80
Yes. The waterfall is a nice training spot. It is often crowded, but there are lots of safe spots so you only neeed to leave if you want to bank. another good/fast method is to buy a cannon and a load of c balls. Fas (yet costly) xp! ctu
I did train from 60 to 70 with ogres. Why there? I wanted to do it quickly and I didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t pick up half of my iron arrows. Check out my blog do get all skills 85+
rhan_wolf
Another idea, I was at lessers the other day and there were at least 5 rangers over lvl 90 cb training there. ------------------------sword metal.com
Gin_and_Tonic
I got 59-70 at Pest control using a bow and arrow, and then 77-77 in the fight caves :anxious: I'd say pc with Chinchompas is now the fastest way to level.
benbh16
8-) i dont know how many chinchompas you have or are willing to buy, but what i did was train hunting till 71 gaining me a large amount of regular and red chinchompas. you know, those little fat rodents that you throw and they exlode. i discovered that in multicombat zones they act like ancient mage spells hitting more than one target.... but with ranged. so what you do is take them to pest control, set them to close ranged (short fused), and find a group of enemies gathered together (usually right ouside the portal, the teleporty dudes around the knight also sorta work), and stand next to one and attack, hitting them all at once, netting you about 1000+ damage per game if you're good at it. spend the points on ranged too, I got from 64 to 70 ranged in about 2 days using this, and used about 2000 of the red chinchompas (which i dont think you can use at your ranged lvl yet), and then switched over to the regular slightly lower hitting ones when i ran out of reds. ~~good luck!
