Tijger2099
~So far I only have a guide up in a video format, but I'll soon start working on a written out one with screens!~ After having done 379 KQ trips without getting a single d chain (!!!) I thought about an idea to make a video about KQ'ing. There's plenty of guides and video's on youtube and fansites about 'how to deal with the KQ'. They are however mostly boring and pretty much the same, so I decided to make a video of the way that I deal with the KQ, which is slightly different from the method most people use. I've been editing for 6 hours to create this movie and I was very much satisfied about the results, except that the size of the video was a bit over 1.9 gygabites. Therefor I imported the video into windows movie maker (I edit with another program) and rendered it in here once more, now it became a 67.5mb movie, which is slightly smaller ^^. However due to the fact that I made the video size smaller the quality also became a bit worse. But with a 1.9gb video I had no choice, I decided not to make it on youtube since then the quality would be really bad. Therefore I dediced to upload it on megaupload, where you can download it and watch it with the original quality of the 67.5mb movie on my own computer. The original 1.9gb version has a better quality etc. but it is just too big to upload it. If you have any questions concerning this method or megaupload feel free to ask and I'll try to help you the best I can. I recommend to have 1 of you (you or your partner) to have 90+ ranged, but even if none of you do this will be a faster way than the normal verac setup imo. A more general recommendation for KQ'ing is to use the Fairy rings to get to the KQ lair (also in the vid) rather than going via the shantay pass at all-kahrid. Enjoy the movie and feel free to give me advice on kq'ing/editing etc. :) The movie :o http://www.megaupload.com/?d=EQGT3RXU This is the link to the video on youtube, but I really recommend the one on megaupload since the quality is alot better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeKwmZ_Tk0Q
ikraz66
Very impressive , but veracs still seems easier to me. I may try this one day. GL getting that chain one day.... Proud owner of a Quest cape!
Tijger2099
Thanks :D Can't wait to start writing the guide :D, I haven't been able to find a real in depth guide on tip.it forums so far about KQ hunting with bolts etc., if there is already could anyone please tell me? ^^

He was a purist- he soloed the kq 200+ times without veracs. That's pretty impressive imo. This was before the crossbow update as well. Proud owner of a Quest cape! Wachtwoord
Thanks :D Can't wait to start writing the guide :D, I haven't been able to find a real in depth guide on tip.it forums so far about KQ hunting with bolts etc., if there is already could anyone please tell me? ^^ I'm sure there aren't and this was pretty good. Well, I don't know what I'm talking about actually, I've never killed here. But it seemed well explained and good to understand. But I wonder one thing; verac brassy has pretty bad defence bonuses, wouldn't it be better to take a Torag body with you? When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done. All skills 80+
FastForce
Can you solo her in one trip using this method? If not then it would be a pretty useless method imo since its possible to solo her w/ veracs. Though I'll try it if I have time next week and see for myself : Road To Trimmed Completionist
Tijger2099
Fastforce I think you can solo her just like with verac's. I can solo her too, but it takes me 2 trips, I think you can only solo her in 1 trip with a lot of luck. But I advice you to give it a try, and just give me the results if it was any better or not. hohto
With bolts and others, this is rather expensive way to kill it. Of course it's a good alternative for those with high ranged and low melee skills, but if you can't take more queens with one trip using this than using veracs, I don't see a reason for this. However if someone gets statistic how much better/worse this is with 99 ranged when compared to 99 melee skills+veracs, it would be really helpful. I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.Name Removed by Administrator ~Turtlefemm

xSxqPowerx
Cool guide. I've been doing this myself for a while :P Someone asked for a comparison between this and veracs for people with 99 stats, and I kq all the time and have 99 melee stats and range :P (I always solo btw) Basically I find that whip is not as effective on the first form as veracs, although rune c bow + good bolts usually destroys the 2nd form. From the perspective of someone who solos, I find that I kill both forms in one trip more often using full veracs (at least half of the time), but with 2 people this might work just as good/better. ikraz66
I guess this is the best way to kill the kq without risking your precious verac helm. The biggest advantage is that you don't take melee damage during the second form. Proud owner of a Quest cape!
Xstarfox33X
I tried soloing with bolts and whiping the first form only got to half hp on 2nd form still takes me 2 trips btw, do u really have to take 200 bolts per trip, thats alot to lose if u die i bring 30 ea trip, it lasts about 3 kqs and u lose around 4-5 bolts per kq :ohnoes: Been hitting alot of 50s lately :ohnoes: Right... halo2_rocks7
Very nice. I need to try this some day. Btw, what program did you use to make the effects? Adobe AE7? I like the 'Fast speed' effect when you kill the KQ on her second form. Nice. =D> Thanks Jason321 for the sig!^ Proud to have served the Tip.it Crew Drops: 2x D Chain, 1x D Legs, 2x D Left Half, 1x D spear, 2x D med (monsters), 5x D Med (Barrows), 4x D Axe, 2x Zerker, Abyssal whip x1, 7x D BootsBarrows items: 55 (not counting the meds)
