jonas_berggren
I have a program named Fraps that can be used to take screenshots without having to save every screenshot. But when I press the hotkey to take a screenshot, nothing happens. I've reinstalled it and changed the path but I can't get it to work... Is there anyone that have had the same experience or someone that knows what I Should do to get it to work? I'd be very happy if I got an answer.
Chris
Take a screenshot of your desktop via Print Screen and pasting into Paint. If that works, it should work. :P Em, do that first. I'll think of why it might not be working later. Notoriously Trollish.
jonas_berggren
Hmm... it does work like it should when I don't use the program. It's not that complicated so you wouldn't think there should be any promblems... Anyways, is there any other programs that have the same function? weezcake
Does the record movies function work? ==================================Retired tip.it moderator.Teaching and inspiring.
Cruiser
Weez mentions a movie function (I have no idea what Fraps can do), but if all you need a screenshot utility to automatically save shots as you take them, I'd suggest Gadwin Printscreen. I've been using it for several years now and it's never given me any problems. Easy to install/configure and it does the job well.
weezcake
Weez mentions a movie function (I have no idea what Fraps can do) Fraps can show your FPS in games, record your gameplay, and take screenshots. It's good for making videos for things like Battlefield 2 or your clan killing er.. some monster in WoW. ==================================Retired tip.it moderator.Teaching and inspiring. zonda
xfire can also take screen shots, as well as automatically post them on the web, download game updates, and do a variety of things. ...

AlanSHC
fraps proberly wont record runescape as it requires something in the game's software i believe and as runescape isnt something u install it proberly wont record. Fraps can record your desktop, fraps can record IE, there for fraps could record you playing RS on IE at your desktop, you realize all it does is take a screen cap X times a second, right? Thats why there is 'lag' and your going to get that with any program. As far as quality goes, both those are going to give you horrible quality, thats life. I don't know were you are coming up with "real good quality videos" because those are non-existen in the RS video world. I have yet to see anything more then RS pk's set to crappy music and the ocasional "swipe" or "fade" effect. ...
Kinslayer777
If you're running spycatcher express (free or pro) or Zonealarm Pro it might be them. The fraps program might have junky methods for detecting your Prinscrn keystroke which can be confused for a keylogger (and they disable that function, but you'd probably get a notice)
