I need to make some vials, so I need some seaweed since I refuse to buy anything. Bottom line, where can I get seaweed the fastest?

I know I used fairy rings before I took a hiatus, but I don't know if a better way has presented itself in my absence or if they is another way I overlooked all along.

Thanks, I do that when I fish monks, but my previous methods were faster for pure collection.

Arhein is on the docks at Catherby just south of the bank. He stocks 80 seaweed a day.

RFD Part:saving pirate pete? think that's the name. Anyway, during the quest you make a gear that allows you to go in the water. You can collect kelp in the water(you have to go to the trawler start place and talk to pete), go back to the ship, deposit in the deposit box nearby then dive again.

If you are willing to buy seaweed from a character, you can just as well buy vials from the shop.

Same thing.

With Lunar Magics, you can teleport to Waterbirth and collect Seaweed there. Then you teleport to Lunar Isle town to bank it.

You also get more molten glass if you used superglass make and you don't need to cook your seaweed to do it.

In addition to all the things mentioned above I would recommend one of the following methods:

Entrana (8 spawns... you can also find sand, etc here)

Shilo Village (3 spawns)

West of Tai Bwo Wanna Village (5 spawns)

Beach northeast of Rellekka (9 spawns)

Or, if you need more in the future, you can always summon Granite Crabs and have those with you while fishing. They produce raw fish and seaweed.

Back to your motive, if your sole reason for making them is because you require vials, you can also buy vials for 5 Gp each in the Shile Village general store.
