September 10, 201213 yr Moved to the correct forum. Silly Meemzid. However, I can't seem to find that option either. LIVERPOOL WILL WIN THE PREMIER LEAGUE THIS SEASON. [01:24:34] CJ Hunnicutt: it takes skill to be that [bleep]ing stupid
September 10, 201213 yr Pretty sure that option was removed when the forums were updated in the last few months.
September 10, 201213 yr Yeah I think that option was removed. That was IPB's doing -- not ours (for what it's worth :P). - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
September 10, 201213 yr That option was removed by ipb when we upgraded. I remember a tech admin saying the default for displaying could potentially be increased if the default was too low, but I don't know for certain.
September 11, 201213 yr Yes we can change the limit but it would change for everyone. The reason it was done is for search engine links and for making it easier to find posts. When everyone has the same amount of posts on a page, it means page 3 for you of a topic is exactly the same as page 3 for user X. Before, this wasn't the case as it could vary a lot depending on how many posts per page you were using.

September 17, 201213 yr Yes we can change the limit but it would change for everyone. The reason it was done is for search engine links and for making it easier to find posts. When everyone has the same amount of posts on a page, it means page 3 for you of a topic is exactly the same as page 3 for user X. Before, this wasn't the case as it could vary a lot depending on how many posts per page you were using. Why is that a problem? Because if you search for something in Google and it shows you a page of TIF, you click that link and have a TIF account and a different number of posts per page, then the post you want probably won't even be there, even though you clicked through looking for it.
