Fight Kiln

I'm looking to attempt the fight kiln hopefully twice today for the Melee and Mage capes and was looking for advice on how to do it. I've read the guide on the main page here but it looks extremely outdated..

 

stats should be in my signature but they are as follows:

90+ atk

90+ str

95 magic

90+ def

95 pray

96 herb

88 summon

 

gear:

full obsidian bar shield

drygore maces

abbysal wand/orb

zo ring for damage boost

ardy cape 3(I'll be losing my only fire cape)

 

penance aura/vamp aura

 

was thinking 2 ovld flasks 1 pray renewal flask 1 super restore flask for summon points/pray 6 pray flasks 3 open spaces for invul/const/restore crystals 1 spare war tort pouch and rest rocktails with war tort full of rocktails

you don't need a bob with food or the super restore. bring enhanced excailbur if you want more healing. if you still feel uneasy, bunyip or unicorn is enough.

 

four or five prayer potions is enough, less if you only use soul split.

 

kiln is surprisingly easy. you don't need that many supplies. the crystals are enough to patch any mistakes you make at your levels, sign of life if you make one major mistake.

 

don't forget to bring a pickaxe.

You shouldn't need any food if you have obsidian and ss. Just bring 2 overload flasks, 2 renewal flasks, 2 sara brew flasks, and like 12 super restore flasks. Only pick up invuln crystals.

If this is your first time going then I still suggest you take a tort with food, and a unicorn as a switch afterwards.

 

Dill wave could give you some trouble (Wave 28). Make sure you lure them so only one is on you at a time. Invul crystal DOES NOT stop their special attack. Also, do not melee protect during this wave or use Vampyrism aura, it enrages the Dill and causes a lot of damage. Suggest using Constitution crystal on this wave.

 

Note: Dragon pickaxe breaks armour faster than rune pickaxe.

 

Make sure you don't forget scrolls, pots, runes, bolts, signs, etc. I remember missing a few things myself when I did it. :P.

Edit:sorted. less than 57 mins on my second try, died to jad from lag on first try. thanks for the help

The best crystal to use on the 6 dill wave is Constitution crystal. As long as you only have 1 dill attacking you at a time, the crystal makes you essentially invulnerable to their special attack.
