I live in world 3. My friends and brothers are questers. I want the cape, but that's not much. I want to get it at the lowest possible combat, and I want to keep my cape with 85 combat for the longest time possible before a required stat becomes too high to achieve while remaining 85 combat.

When that happens, I'll start range training hardcore :)

First of all, I need to earn the stats to be able to complete the quests! From talking to my quester friends, blitzing makes dream mentor easier, and running out of food is the biggest problem. So these are my stat goals, and they will take me to 85 combat too.

I can't imagine a quest in the forseeable future requiring more than 60 prayer, 70 def, 80 magic or 85 ranged (nearing 86)

I have space to level up my attack and strengh (both 61) without levelling combat. HP is more likely to be a problem if lots of future quests come with

Also I have yet to complete all the skill requirements. These are vital for getting the cape, but not vital for getting one with 85 combat.

Slayer isn't exactly hard, it's just rather slow. I used the EXP lamp from RFD on it, which knocked it up 2 levels :) giving me 55 which is awesome, I play barrows a bit, still not good enough for Back to my Roots and Path of Glouphrie. Annoyingly, these are quests that come with slayer rewards too...

Other skills currently:

I aim to take all these numbers to 70+.

Having the skill requirements is often 80% of the quest!

I can direct you to a maker of quest kits if you want one, but I'm not into the whole dying-from-the-kindness-of-my-heart thing.

Was rather short/easy/etc. for a "master" quest!

And the Wise Old Man didn't give me his hat...

WHAT I DID FOR THE BOSS

Wore black-d'hide and ranged it. It hit a 20 on me once - the rest of the time it hardly hit. Could've taken it without prayer, or food.

Monkey Madness! The traditional oh-I-died-on-that-one-^^; quest. First I need to complete Treegnome village.

well i have quest cape and it was NOT fun to get.

i suggest doing the hard/long quests first that way when youre done with them it seems easier to get the cape ;)

Was a fast one, even if I did end up going to the altars twice... all part of the fun of not using guides.

Promoted to Proselyte! Which means my prayer bonuses are now teh uberness!

^.^ my kind of quest reward. I might go slay some knights in pursuing of proper white boots, with prayer and def bonuses.

And technically, you beat the beasties at level 90, so you're still a level 90 master quester in my eyes.

*clutches heart* You got me! I've been hit! I'm in wuv! Hitpoints were my bane, going from a measley 76 to 77. I had 76 str, 70 att and 70 def at level 90. I beat him, like 2k from a str level, and thinking I'd beat the system, I went ahead and finished the quest. Then it gave me hitpoints! :evil:

On a side note, predicting your final hitpoints would take a while, and I find that it's easier to just to the quests at low a level as possible. Heck, I did Recipe for Disaster at level 89 and had almost no trouble. It's all a matter of luck though, so just keep those fingers crossed, rub a red head, and find your favorite horse shoe! I'd lend you mine .. but it deserted me for fletching -.-
