petition against RULE 8 banning innocents
good state, however i think you somehow miss the point entirely... *sigh* muti clienting of cause not a jolly nice thing that everyone want except to those who cheat, and to do muti clienting, you must be cheating (rule 4) which requires a modified client to those who decide to marco, they are offending rule 7, which was marcoing therefore the current existing rules already provides enough power to punish whom who play the game unfairly, rule 8 seems to be unnecessary also, please aware that rule 8 also attach a tag which states a pointless rule that dont allow account interaction I think you missed the point of my post. I covered rule number 8 about macroeing in it. By the way with how wouldcutting is now, all you have to do is click one, it's not like how it was back in the day. Also, you do NOT have to have a modified client to multi client. I'm not going to say how since I don't want more little kids knowing how but it's been known for years a way to do it without using a modified client.

Magic Update ?
The reason people have so many excess body runes is they arn't using them and yes there are some very good uses for body runes.

First treatise on Runescape community.
I agree with pretty much everything you have said. I too have played since early 2001 in the beta stages. Honestly, I would have to say those were some of the best days. That and when members was first being released. When members was first released the members servers were very nice, almost no immature people that I can recall. As one other person said, the growing playerbase is waht I believe to have caused runescape's feel to have declined. The game itself has gotten better and the community seems to have gotten worse. Alot of my friend when they hear I play runescape look at me like "... why...". I always tell them, the game is actually very good, it's just the people who suck. One other person said that in order to have the game grow the player base must grow and if the player base grows you will always have more immature people. That simply is not true. I'll point out for you, Achaea. Achaea is the worlds most successful, and I believe largest, text based MUD of the past EIGHT years. They have had some amazing growth both in community and in game content, yet the community is still composed of over 99% nice people. Why? Well, in essence if you're not nice, you won't last long. If you continued to not be nice (and I don't mean roleplaying an evil character, but just trolling) you would probably be banned. That's what we need on runescape. We need JAGeX to stop banning people for things they've never done (like my old account, thanks there JAGeX) and start banning them for things like; scamming (I'veemale characters trying to sell their body, again, JAGe reported plenty of blatant scammers and JAGeX tells me they arn't going to take action against them.), extremely profane words (Reported female characters who were trying to sell their bodies by using some very colorful advertising to JAGeX told me they would not take action.), and overall being an idiot. Sorry guys, but if you run around screaming "free items pl0x pl0x pl0x" I think you should be banned, same for asking someone for a fight and if they decline calling them a chicken and such for as long as they are logged in. Some might find that harsh, but I believe it would help the community.

They need to add a 'Stealth" skill
WHY DO I HAFTA REPEAT MYSELF???????????? YES, IT IS VALID AS IT'S OWN SKILL (YOU SEE IT IN ALL THE OTHER FANTASY RPG GAMES!!!!) YOU TRAIN IT BY SNEAKING AROUND!!!!! ' Awww, look at the cute little noob getting upset. Seriously bud, your logic is pretty flawed. Finaly Fantasy, yes, final fantasy, now would does final fantasy and runescape not have in common. Oh yeah, one is online. Oh wait, you mean here you're not fighting ONLY monsters? Why yes, that's right. By the way, there are many RPGs (and good ones) that don't have any kind of stealth skill. This kind of skill would just be stupid for something like runescape. Very stupid. Why not just call it roguescape. I love how little you thought it out too, all you said is "there should be a stealth skill" then didn't give any real detail.

MASSIVE CAPE UPDATE!!!!!!!!
First of all, I'm not totally ruling out the possibility that you're telling the truth. I am saying, I don't believe you, and I think it's highly unlikely. Metal capes... Right... Why in the world would someone wear a metal cape? It's heavy, you already have armor on your back, all it does is weigh you down more. And from a game standpoint, it wouldn't flap at all, so it's not even pretty. This has to be one of the most absurd claims I've ever heard. By the way, why would two mods be fighting each other and talking about a new update where a player could hear? Updates are typically kept to the staff until released you know.

Impic Slaves! (med-long read)
I really don't care for this idea that much. Summoning has been planned to be released eventually for years now. There was talk about it by JAGeX before RS2 and around the launch of RS2 there were summoning runes but they havn't been summoning spells yet. However, I'll put it like this. Player owned houses were released for a short amount of time years ago in runescape classic then removed when JAGeX realized they did not have the space needed for it. I don't think summons should be near as powerful as yall are saying though. Up to 25 damage with 99 summoning skill? Are you kidding me. We already have weapons that can hit over 60. You want someone to be able to hit over 85 in one hit!? You have to be kidding me. I'd just give JAGeX time and let them release summoning once they are ready to.

Pker Graveyard addition to PoHs?
I'm not defenite how the trophies for what monsters you have killed works since it's been so long since I've played last (atleast for anything high level/members). However, the technical reform needed might be pretty large. You would have to program it so that everytime a person dies they drop "'s bones", instead of just "bones". An entirely new database of items might need to be made for every single person's bones and it would constantly need a new one made for every new player and be assigned to that player. I'm not sure how hard that would be to do or the space that would be needed to store it all, but it would certainly be a very nice feature :D!

'Follow' idea
It isn't so easy to just follow someone by clicking after them. especially when they are on follow so they can type and pester you with begs and taunts. I don't know what I think of this idea. I am tired of those annoying beggers that click follow just so they can stay on you and beg for money or items. Also there are other people who just click follow just so they can harrass you. I like how you can turn trades off or to friends to keep people from pestering me with trade requests just to ask for free items so this idea could work. I suppose it's worth adding to the to-do list. I just personally ignore them and when you do they just go away. Or, act like you don't speak their language ^^.

Pker Graveyard addition to PoHs?
I love the idea, but I'd say even gravestones untradeable. However, the technical side I wonder about. Not sure how hard this would be on the servers, whether or not they would need a database or not. Other than that I love the idea.

'Follow' idea
Sounds kind of pointless. They could easily just click to follow you anyway...

You really want to ruin the economy don't you...

petition against RULE 8 banning innocents
Alright, I can tell this is probably one of those ignorant crowds who thinks that all JAGeX wants to do is make you hate the game (that's counter productive by the way) so I'll simply state my points and let you read them. 1) Economy: Alright, so now you're allowed to have multiple accounts logged on at the same time. Well then, I'm going to start up 15 yew log cutting accounts and start making me some money. Think about that, yew log cutting alright makes some nice cash as it is, multiply that by 15 and now I'm making some good money. Oh but wait, now we have a sudden overflow of yew logs into circulation. That's going to effect the economy guys ;) and not in a good way. Gotta think about these things. 2) Server Strain: So currently everyone is allowed to have one account per player. Some worlds are already full, many are close. Let's just say, everyone has two accounts running at once, that's a fair bet since not everyone will MC but those who will will probably have more than two running. Currently the vast majority of the worlds have over 1,000 people playing. I do believe the worlds can handle about 2,000 people before they become full. So now you've essentially doubled server strain. Suddenly virtually EVERY world is full. Uh oh, you see, NOW we have a problem. Because for all those extra yew log cutters people arn't going to buy them members (oh, and lobster catchers, and ore miners, shall I go on? No, I think you get the point.) So now servers are full but they don't have more money coming in. Now /that/ my friends, is a loss of profits. Bandwidth doesn't come cheap you know. 3) PC Power: Now, not everyone has a very good machine to run Runescape on. Pretty much everyone can run one copy of runescape just fine, but not everyone can run five at once just fine. Suddenly success is no longer aboutt he person, but their machine. 4) Macro Farms: Macro Farms are nothing new to MMORPGs. I'll use a couple of MMO's as examples. First off, Tibia. Tibia for a long time has an extreme problem with macro farming. I've seen pictures of people with 13 druids sitting on a roof with a macro running them all to make UH runes. What are UH runes you ask? Well, they're the equivalent of a shark, only there is only one class on the game that can make them. Lineage 2. Lineage 2 has a slightly different macro problem. You see, people take the money made from macro farms there and sell it for real life cash. Now, you're probably saying to me "But macros and selling in game items for real life cash is against the rules". Why yes it is. But how much longer will it be if you remove this rule, which serves a very good purpose, before you remove the no macroing rule, which serves a very good purpose. Even outside of that many people multiclient as it is, yes, most of them will be banned eventually (thank god) but in the mean time the damage to the economy is done. So once you allow MCing it's even easier for somoene to start a macro farm then send the items through several characters to a main, or to have it be sold online. I hope you all now understand that multi clienting is not as small of a deal as you guys seem to think. It is, and can become quite the problem. I don't suspect many of you will understand this, but hopefully some will.

Discussion of the current runescape community for veterans.
First off, I do not mean veteran as in war veterans. I have great respect for them, but that's not how the word is used here. I mean people who have played for a long time. Preferably for atleast 4 or 5 years. I myself have played since the open beta. I remember a guy helping me out to get a net to start fishing. Then I being attacked by some guy and my "hero" saving the day :). That was back when you could attack a player anywhere. Now, the game itself has certainly become better since then. Without a doubt. However, the community on the other hand, has only gotten worse. In one way it is certainly no suprise. That's how MMORPGs are. They tend to start off with a good community and as the immature kids find out about it, the overall community shifts. Runescape seems to be the extreme example of this though. As I'm sure all of you know, many people hate runescape. One of the main reaons people often times give is that the people who play it are stupid. In no way am I a genius, but stupid, I do not think I am. However, I would agree that many peolpe who play runescape are. My point here though is. People seem to have this mentality of "If you're lower level/poorer/have worse equipment than them, then you are a noob. However, if you are higher level/richer/have better equipment than them, then you have no life. Or in the case that your old account was banned/hacked, as is my case (level 99 banned 2 years ago, back when 99 meant alot more than it does now). Then god forbid someone might believe you. A level 95 who of all people should understand that people do get banned unjustly decided I was a "noob" because of it. I didn't just go around going "omg i my 99 is hacked". A guy and I got into a conversation, I made the comment of "Wow, fishing is alot easier now in rs2 than it was in rsc" and as the conversation progressed it was natural that I would mention it. However then a certain level 95 (and of course the usual peanut gallery) had to hop in. The 95 asked me several questions, all but one (oh don't you know, god forbid I forget one detail of the underground pass quest) and then still refused to believe me. Apparently, I'm able to look up the answers in about .05 seconds. He evne made the comment of "You're probably looking in the wiki cause all your answers are just like in the wiki." Well, that would make sense if my answers were correct and he go this questions from the wiki now wouldn't it? Alright, I really went off on a tangent there. Anyway, this isn't meant to be a ranting thread about the community, but more of a "what has been your experience overall from the years ago when you fisrt started to today in terms of community. For me, back in the day there were far more nice people compared to the number of rude/mean/ignorant people than there are today.

Horrible lag.
Is anyone else currently experiencing horrible lag? It's to the point that I can not even move and half the time can't even load runescape.
-
would u still play runescape if they is no friends list??
No way, friends are half the game. How are you going to organize thigns without PMs?
-
Smallest monster that ever killed you
Chicken..... OF DOOM!
-
All that work... wasted.
Same thing happened to be more "Website Advertising and Encouraging other's to break rules" neither of which I did. My account was even older than your's too =\. It defenintly is the lost friends that hurts the most though. I mean getting your level's back isn't that hard but getting back in touchw ith old friends can be almost impossible.

Sell all/Buy All option
Exactly, it would be a fair fight, as it should be.

What do you think on raising the max skill level?
Yep mods have said that on RS forums before, everyone would go back to level one in everything and EVERYTHING would be reset...so it's not as simple as you might think. Back to that level one that doesn't exist right? How about some proof bud.

i think specialty amulets
Seriously? you think an amulet that costs mebe 10k and lasts 25 uses would ruin game balance? That wouldn't, however it would be stupid and pointless. You could just buy more of whatever it is for that price, and for mining... You gotta be kidding me lo.
-
i think specialty amulets
I want an amulet that gives me GM power, it should ge 0gp in every general store and only be useable by me. Seriously, for once, you people really need to take GAME BALANCE into consideration.

~~Dispute Trades~~
If you LOOK at the second trade screen you won't get scammed. I give this a 0.

Put a level cap on F2p
You are an idiot. Plain and simple.

Introduce Rares an unfair Advantage?
I agree, and from what I have seen from most people replying that are against your proposal. They are not putting thought intot he fact that party hats can no longer be obtained and unless something is done will almost defenintly only go up in price. Guys, JAGeX has even said they never wanted this to happen. That party hats were meant to be a fun thing, even something that friends would give to each other as a little happy holidays present. However that is not the case anymore. Why do you think that when bunny ears came out they were untradeable? Also, dragon items and party hats (and all other tradeable holiday items) are not even close to being the same. New dragon items can be brought into the game, new party hats can not. I've even met people with large amounts of money who whenever they were able to buy a party hat, they would high alch it to try to remove another from the game. Quite frankly, I'm glad they do that.

Belts
Mages seem to be doing just fine though. You give them a belt pouch and it allows them to carry other items they otherwise won't. Rune armor, dragonhide armor, that sort of thing. As it is they do just fine and even beat rangers an alright amount. Also, think about it. Warriors have to carry potions, alot of archers carry ranger and defense potions. Over all everything is pretty balanced as it is.
