I was thinking of using battle robes to save a few runes, but do you think virtus mask + ahrim top and bottom with wolpertinger would be better, or maybe virtus robe bottoms with ahrim top + hood/seers helm with wolper?

really? i thought Bandos boots had better stats? also if i buy Bandos Chest and Legs do i need torags legs and chest for more def or just chest? also which helm do i buy? Bandos boots have better defence bonuses, but dragon boots offer a strength bonus which you want. Personally I'd just buy bandos chestplate and tassets and not worry about keeping the barrows gear. At your stats you probably aren't going to a lot of bosses, and if you do it should be with quite a few people and you wouldn't be the tank. So high defence bonuses shouldn't be a huge concern for you if you're only doing slayer/armored zombies or something for training. Black mask/slayer helm if doing slayer, Neitiznot helm for general training.

Meh, got to 450M and have banked 99 herb and pray now. Not cleaned if you ask me, but I think it's cute how people always say that about stakers.

This. And as a sidenote, I've heard that ice barraging people (read: bots) in Soul Wars in the middle area is really good exp (zeal, etc). I'm not sure which would be better, though. Just a thought. You know, I was actually considering not even making this thread and just doing that, so maybe I will just go to SW. Go there with the intention of testing it until someone who knows better can give us a definite answer or you find out yourself. :P EDIT: Also, may the level 2 men in Edgeville be with you, my son. Even if it turns out to be a bit slower than skelton monkies, but a lot of fun freezing noobs, I may just do SW even if it is a bit less efficient. Even cancel ice ones? Or should I do them because I still need the magic exp and fire surging them seems like pretty decent magic exp.

It will shoot at the one you're attacking, helping speed up that kill. That's how it helps, it makes each kill faster than if you had no cannon set up.

Neat, I have the 7th rarest, one level away from the eigth rarest, and have the tenth and twelfth rarest banked. And then of course I have the 99 melees and ranged, but those aren't really anything special.

I just banked 99 pray and herb so now I'm lookin to get 99 magic after I get those two. I have 205M cash left, and really willing to spend probably up to 50M or so on the last three level if it will make it fast. What would be a good method?

When I went to the DA a few days ago (not staking every day even, and up from where I was last time mind you) I got on a winning streak and got up from about 70M to 175M. The guy in the first pic was telling me to stop [cabbage]ing around with my stakes and keep it small so I don't get cleaned. He cares about my money apparently. I do say every stake in the CC, but people seem interested. Lol you should mess with him. Just be staking and saying the stakes like normal, then be like "oh, lost a 70M, time to double it, oh lost a 140M, guess I'm cleaned." 99 herblore and prayer banked using Frost Dragon Bones and Extremes/Overloads, with 209M cash left over. I've never been happier. Edit: Nevermind, not quite 209M, I still need to put in an offer for another 2590 grenwall spikes which will buy in 4 hours. So all that banked with 205M or so left over. Still never been happier.

Yeah, I was thinking 96 ->99 prayer and 96 -> 99 herblore aswell. Been wanting 99 in both of those for a while, and now seems like a good time to do so. I actually like looking at staking pics, you, Yy, and Wicked have all kind of inspired me (mostly Yy as I knew him before he joined TIF). Have some more inspiration, just won this after losing a 20M to the guy: 427M cash now. Tempted to buy 3 santas or something like that and go finish off that last slayer level. Lately though I just can't get into doing slayer, I just go start doin a task, then I get to thinking about the stakes I could be doing and next thing you know, my ineventory goes from a slayer set up to a cash pile and dueling ring. I think that's called an addiction? Do you box or rapier stake? Rapier. I used to box, but doing that I got cleaned when my bank was about 20M. And boxing fights take so much longer than rapier fights, I like the fast paced staking that you get from rapier (aside from standing outside saying "rap 10-50M" over and over again until someone finally comes along, then you have to try time after time to get into the arena because too many people are in there already). I'm sure you've been asked before, but what world are you using? I'm tempted to try staking a bit, but I don't think my stats are very good for it :P World 54. It's generally the highest populated staking world, and generally the highest ping too. <_< There's one staking world that usually has like 34 ping or so, and I'd love to try staking there, but can't ever find anyone rapier staking there.

[hide=A few more stakes and another milestone] The guy I won that d pick from said he was staking 15M, he puts up d pick, and it says it's 14.999M so I stake 15M for it. It ends up selling for 12.5M and the same thing happened for that DFS, except it sold for 14.55M. Damn people staking items that are worth less than their G.E. value. Oh well though, not like I lost anything by fighting them. Newest milestone: 400M cash. Santa. Thats what I went with after giving my friend 100M. But I ended up selling it hours later for a bit of profit, then turned the 123M into 330M so far at the arena. I don't think I'm going to be too concerned with the rares market until I stake my way up to affording a party hat.

Haha, the second I won that 100M stake I was like "Ugh, now I'm gonna post this and Kevin is going to have something to say about it." :lol: Edit: Then I logged out for a while after losing a few and being at 275M. Just logged back on and see some guy staking 25M. Hey, that's how much I need to be at 300M! First ever 300M cash pile now. I like these milestones. Didn't I say I was done staking about 40M ago? Was at 161M (those items there are worth about 7.3M or so (won them)) but was feeling risky, and it paid off. I think I might be done staking for a bit, 264.5M or so bank now. Edit: Bank: Plus 5800 Spec Restores (3), 168 Super Anti Fires (4), 108 Extreme Attack and Strength (4), 390 Super Pray (4), 30 Overloads (4), and 250 Extreme Attack and Strength (3).

You should stake higher tbh :$. Doing 5-10m stakes keeps you going back and forth to much imo. You just want to see me get cleaned lol. Doing 5-10m stakes may keep me going back and forth, but so far I've come out ahead each time I go there and do it. I feel like if I did 20m+ stakes a lot, I'd be cleaned in a matter of minutes. When I went under 100M tonight I had lost 17 stakes in a row (not the first time I've lost more than 10 in a row), all of which were 1-5M stakes. If something like that happens when I stake big, I'd be cleaned.

Sold santa for 123.2M (bought it for 118M earlier today, so profit right there). Put 3.2M in the bank and took the other 120M to the arena (really, is anyone surprised that I'm hooked?) Well, it started out pretty bad honestly, at one point I was below 100M, but here's the stakes I decided to screenshot: 20M 10M Then the final stake of the night: 3M for an ending cash pile of 150M (+3.2M in the bank so 153.2M total now) And no, when I get back up there I won't be giving my friend anymore money. He's got 100M now, he's on his own now when it comes to money making.

Yeah, it's because of the charges. Something similar happens with the slayer helmet. Each piece (black mask, hex, focus) are all worth a bit on the G.E. (what like 30k-500k or so) but when the helmet is assembled, it isn't worth anywhere near the added price of the components.
