Exxon currently has all 10 of the top 10 corporate quarterly earnings of all time, so I don't think they're going to be in any drastic trouble where they need to lay people off. The only way they'll need to start streamlining is if they want to. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exxon_Mobi ... nd_profits (there was a yahoo article on this but I couldn't find it)

Snow in october in uk
I always laugh when I think of Canadian weather because it reminds me of how stupid Scottish people can be. Who in their right minds would leave one cold country like mine to go and emigrate to an even colder country like Canada, they must have been mad lol. Canada isn't cold, just wet...which makes it torture. But we're not cold. honestly if you don't live within the Great Lakes (Or any lake that can have an influence in the moisture), you have nothing to complain about, about cold, lol. Maybe my perception was wrong then, I always thought of Canada as snowy and cold (stereotypically). I always had an image of Scottish people getting off the boat in Canada in a snowdrift lol. I'm presuming that it is cold in the more Northern areas though right?

I'll never make the same mistake that so many of my former countrymen made, once I win the lottery I'm going to follow the sunny weather...although with global warming I'm not too sure where that will be.

Voting doesn't start for another week -.-. Unless it was a mock election. There is an early voting process actually, it depends on the state involved. Maybe next time it would be clever to know what you're talking about. http://earlyvoting.net/states/abslaws.php

Snow in october in uk
For the record the reasonthe UK could get colder in the distant future is because of changes in the North Atlantic Drift which provides us with warmer air. I don't know how these changes can/will occur but supposedly it is a possibility. --- It wasn't in Edinburgh today, just bloody freezing.

2011/12 Football Season
Why not? Man City are scoring freely right now and they're winning matches. They probably won't be near the champions league places but a UEFA cup place is feasible if they bring in a couple of good defenders in January. Man City have a pretty solid back four, the team links up well at times but there is no way they will break into the top four this season. I don't think they'll get a top four place either but I think 5th or 6th is possible for them if things go their way. As for their back four, I really think they need to build on it, they've lost more goals than Tottenham so far, their saving grace has been how easily they seem to score.

What is George Bush's Legacy?
The majority of the world thought the world was flat...it wasn't fact then, it isn't fact now and it never has been a fact. I don't mind disagreeing with people if they can conduct a logical argument but that just moronic. The "everybody says it so it must be true" mentality reminds me or high school rumours, people should learn to engage their brains.

Study squashes myth of gamer as antisocial
I think you have to differentiate gamers from hardcore gamers. There are a huge number of casual gamers who play now and then but hardcore gamers I find are a bit anti-social.

What is George Bush's Legacy?
I don't personally believe the war for oil theory but the reason Iraq produces less oil now than it did before the invasion is because of the instability that came with the war, Saddam might have been horrible but he kept stability. Also let me play devil's advocate here, if the invasion was for oil wouldn't it be a good idea to limit production in order to keep the oil price artificially higher?

I'm not suggesting that you can't move above being a cashier with little or no education (not specifically you I mean anyone). I just think it's not so easy for somebody to work more because of the difficulty getting the extra hours, as I said and because extenuating circumstances, such as childcare problems (as I failed to say).

It's easy to say; "work more hours" but the problem is often getting the work and getting work that will give those hours.

URGENT - How to undub a movie or remove a voice from it?
Does it have 2 audio streams? If so download virtualdubmod, select streams, go to stream lists and then de-select the one you want to get rid of. Why do I have the feeling this has to do with torrent movie downloads...

Should teens be charged as adults?
Both of those points are irrelevant, adults with learning difficulties are subject to assessment already as Ginger said. As for your second point, you're right every teen acts like they are mature, it doesn't mean they are mature.
-
Should teens be charged as adults?
Trust me at 14/15/16 I was a lot more impulsive and immature than I am now (I'm only 21 now). In those adolescent years you're still maturing and learning to deal with things, you might physically be a grown man a 16 (it varies) but mentally you've still got important years ahead where you need to mature. The only people who should be tried as adults are adults.

Eagle Eye
I often wonder why Shia Laboeuf keeps getting acting jobs when he erm...lacks any sign of acting ability or even any trace personality. Same goes for Orlando Bloom.

Ordered and received. CD's and DVD's.
How2PK - Is that cover an alternate cover, it's just I was looking this up on Wikipedia out of curiosity and they have a 'slightly' more gruesome image for that album...

Euthanasia Right or Wrong?
People should have the right to control there own life however, I think legalising euthanasia would set a very dangerous precedent. It puts the medical profession in a moral dilemma. They are bound to save lives, and while you can argue that abortions and the switching off of a life support machine are of the same principle, I would disagree as euthanasia cases often involve people who still posses their mental faculties. It also poses a number of legal difficulties, how to you prove somebody is of sound enough mind to give their consent to be euthanised? It also poses difficulties in the area of life insurance - would companies pay out when you've chosen to die? A legal euthanasia system would also have the potential to be abused, in the UK we had the Harold Shipman case where he abused his position as a doctor to kill patients and take their savings. He is known to have killed over 215 and the number could be far higher, I can't help but think that if we had legalised euthanasia, he could have killed far more easily under the pretense of euthanising consenting people. I know that last point may be slightly irrational but I just think legalising euthanasia would cause more trouble than it would solve and that it would set a difficult precedent.

Great, Boyd just confirmed he won't play for Scotland again while Burley is in charge.
