I'm sorry, but simply because you don't agree with the article does not mean it's biased. It means that you don't agree with the author's opinion. He has an opnion, and so do you. Which one is correct? Both and neither. That's why they're called opinions. And if you feel that strongly about it, then why don't you write that article and submit it for publication? Remember, one of the Times' goals is to stimulate debate and discussion -- and this week, it certainly has. Mission accomplished. And remember... And lastly, to those who think that posting in LARGE or bold text helps to get your point across...it doesn't. It just makes you look like you're shouting. And then nobody listens to anything you have to say. So if you want to post your opinon, go ahead. But please, do it in normal fonts, and say something constructive. Sorry, but the last time I looked, saying "the article sucks" or calling the author an idiot is NOT constructive. Please everyone, stay on topic and no flaming. Don't you think, then, that we SHOULD have these? Why would we want our users going to other fansites for this kind of information? If these things aren't useful, fine, but to not do them because other fansites already have them isn't a very good reason. This is a bit competitive dont you think? Sorry if that's the impression I gave, that's certainly not what I meant. Being competitive isn't what it's all about - it's about keeping our users HERE. If they have to visit another site to get something we don't have, then it means we're not providing as good a service as we could be. It's quite simple - we want to keep our members happy. Being in "competition" with other fansites really has nothing to do with it. If that were the case, we would have added lots of things they have to our site a long time ago. But our users didn't want those things, so we didn't.

Who told you we were doing an interview with Andrew Gower? While I agree it WOULD be nice, there's a lot more involved in getting an interview that everyone thinks. We are working on getting him to agree to one, though. But please do NOT jump to conclusions and assume there'll be one anytime soon. Also, on the issue of teaching people how to scam...we thought about this before publishing the article, and we determined that we would be doing more good than harm by publishing it. Believe me, this scam is nothing new to a real scammer. They're not learning anything new from our article. And even if a few bad seeds learn a few more tricks? This is far outweighed by the number of people that will now be aware of the danger and won't fall for it.
